Pokemon, Plans, Birthdays and Bans

I really tried for this news title. I hope you’re all proud.

As I type, it is my 26th birthday, and oof, this place isn’t aging well, huh. I still need to update so much. I’ll get into what has been going on.

Pokemon

So, that Pokemon game. That sure is a thing, huh? It’s still in the works, but it’s just been on hold completely. My life currently has been all about my job and trying to get a better standing for a better job. Sadly, this has meant little time for the game. I want to try to get it out there, as well as to honour those people who donated to Momerator. I’ve not forgotten about you! All promised tiers will still be delivered.

A lot of the plot though has gone through changes. It’s about the only thing I can accomplish without actively working on the game. I have decided that I will implement multiple endings, and I have been setting about what these endings are, and how to achieve them It will be one hell of a challenge. But, I think it will be really rewarding once it all is released.

There is an image teaser I have completed. It’s ready to go out. However, I am holding off on that teaser. I have learnt the mistakes from my past, as well as issues with various users releasing teaser after teaser before release. I don’t intent to tease the game prematurely. Once the demo is close to release, I will release the teaser.

RE Progress, we have about two dozen characters sorted with their stats mapped out, and a base world map. Some code has been done outlining the base menus too. Mostly graphical progress though. For the time being, please have a look at this development timeline of the Crying Child sprite. I’ve kept the timelines of all the creatures made. It will make for interesting post-game content.

Plans

Here’s the section where I outline things I want to do but never do them.
Honestly, this site needs an overhaul. the code is not going to be tenable much longer. I need to redo the entire design of the site.

There is so much I want to do, and I just never find the time or motivation nowadays to do them. I think I understand precisely why I feel so bogged down. This comic basically describes it all:

I have so many things going on right now, FNaFLore has sorta done what the FNaF lore has done. Laid stagnant and unfinished with no real resolution, hoping Help Wanted will clear it up.

When Help Wanted comes out, I will be playing it, and releasing as much detail as I can on the lore that I can find.

Birthdays

Today’s my 26th Birthday, which is why I’m writing this.

I guess that’s about it for that part of the title.

I feel old.

Bans

So, the big news of the day is I got unbanned from Freddit two days ago. I sent in a joke appeal attempting to expertly mask my presence as an ordinary Reddit user. I then got unbanned.

It seems the reasoning is that I’ve not been active lately. Because my general focus is elsewhere, rather than error on their part. I’ve no doubt the moment I can afford to start getting Freeblue and Fleshmonger stuff onto the planned store, and proceed with my penultimate plan next year, this ban will come into effect once again. But it seems for the time being, I’m unbanned.

I still contest the original ban in it’s entirety, and I have no intent to behave any differently than before – which is to say, keep FreeBlue and the Fleshmonger content on my discord, YouTube and website without posting it to Freddit, but still actively using, discussing and expanding on both of these memes. I have every right to make content on my own platforms, and I will be damned if that is threatened. If Scott is offended at a post I make, tough. I’ve got one in the works that essentially explains why he is a terrible story writer when it comes to endings and secrets – while also detailing what he is doing that is good for the story. He will probably not like the article, and when it gets posted to Freddit by someone who is not me, he may comment, the mods will get offended on his behalf, ban me and we will probably be here again. I’ll put the counter up once more, and on and on we go.

Base line is, all it takes is for me to post, it to go to Reddit and Scott to then comment disapprovingly, and ban again. I stand firm, Freddit’s ethical standards when it comes to bans MUST be changed.

People are saying this is a victory. This is what I wanted, so why am I complaining still? The notion that my goals have been to become unbanned is quaint, but no. That is an endgame goal. As of this moment, nothing has changed and I will likely be rebanned at the first sign that Scott is pissed off, or that I challenge them in such a way they’d fear a second Basetown incident occurring. No, this seems to be a very temporary ceasefire. The main goal has been, and still is, ban reform. Freddit cannot be in control of content outside of Freddit and it’s Discord. GBAura, DJSkytlz, Subwoofer, SuperStuHD and more have been banned in the past for content outside of Freddit, and this is not a standard that can be abided by. If every outlet banned you due to a rulebreak elsewhere, then you’d be frozen out of the internet for weeks on end. The scope of their power must be refocused and that is a drum I will continue to bang. I am unbanned, but the issue remains in place.

Still, with all of this said and done, I’d like to thank every user whom is still here. I’m sorry I’m not the best at keeping things up to date – a generous wording of the notion, no doubt. But I do hope to still see FNaF to it’s end. My main problem is both time, and the fact that FNaF still remains unsolved. That last one is draining all my interest in FNaF. If it was just solved, and we got a new, fresh storyline in the Freddy’s franchise, that would be a dream come true. It would be rejuvenating to the fanbase. Sadly, I see no end in sight.

I hope this year, perhaps I can get the time to update this old place. Give it the polish it needs. Maybe I do need to call in help at this point, I don’t know. I’ll see what I can think of.

FreeBlue Baking Stream – 23rd of February!

Hello all!

It’s been a while. I’ve been focusing a lot on IRL work, but I recognise we’re getting close to the one year anniversary of my ban from Freddit. A few users have asked for a baking stream, so I will be doing so!

The Baking Stream will take place on the 23rd of February. The current working time is 6PM!

This stream will purely be about the baking, I won’t be doing any sort of face reveal, it’ll just be the baking and the voices of FNaFLore’s moderation team. you’ll get some hands, but that’ll be it. It’s also not for charity or anything, though do donate to charity if you wish regardless!

It will focus on the following topics:

• The history of FreeBlue, The Fleshmonger and my ban
• Announcing a planned new platform for FNaFLore
• Rule changes for FNaFLore’s platforms
• Addressing the NSFW and Transgender issues brought up in Discord
• Questions and Answers
• Competition announcement

We will have the following people on – particularly for the Rule changes, but they’re free to join at any point. We may allow others to join if they so wish.

New Year Megapost

Hello all! I hope you have had a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

I suppose I should put out an end/start-of-year update. Firstly though, I want to give thanks where thanks are due. This is going to be a bit of a text wall post. But, you’re probably used to that by now.

Thanks

FNaFLore used to be just one person, and largely, the core of the site still remains that way, which is sadly to the detriment of the site. But, I find it hard to trust others with the site’s content, being the perfectionist I am.

However, some aspects of the site have been handed off to others. Before I continue, I would like to thank those users for their help and support.

Retroity

I first want to thank Retroity for his dedicated help and support for the FNaFLore Discord. I pondered where to start, and honestly, Retroity has to be the first.

Initially running a FNaF forum, he ran into hosting issues, and was issued an ultimatum from his provider to shut down his forums. Seeing this, I offered the FNaFLore forums as an alternate home for his userbase, with him having full admin rights and FTP access in order to keep his base alive.

Sadly, his userbase seems to have died out rather than follow him. But since then, he has been a diligent and thorough admin for the FNaFLore Discord moderation. We often compete to see who can approve the most users, and while I seem to have a lead, it was a small margin the last we counted. He has been a vital part of our Discord, and one of the most level-headed people we have, able to separate his personal opinions from his moderator decisions. Even if he is silent most of the time, he is the best Discord moderator I could ever hope to have recruited, and I am more than happy to have him on my team.

JuniorGenius

Though we still need to sort out those pesky bots, Junior has been a programming powerhouse for FNaFLore. He’s helped in countless situations to diagnose programming issues, be it for my site, or for the lights that went into the Fleshmonger’s mask. On top of this, he has been a very level headed person to rely on, both professionally and when it came to personal life.

I am not familiar with how I ran into him, but I am glad I did. Again, he has been a perfect moderator, who has been quick to put his views forward and to challenge me with my worst/misguided decisions I have made these past years.

Momerator

Naturally, Jessica has to be on this list. Even with her own issues, she has been a solid rock, and has been keen to lend her views on the site and my own actions. Though often away, she has had a profound and long lasting impact on FNaFLore, Freddit and even my own life. My largest regret is that I likely will never meet her face to face. I wish her well and for a speedy recovery. We’re all behind you!

FNaFLore.com Writers

I want to thank the writers for FNaFLore, as well as signature theorists in the Discord. I hand-picked several users, and they are largely to thank for what little activity remains. I want to particularly thank the following three creators for actually making articles this year, and one more for their Discord discussions.

These users have made great articles this year, and I highly recommend swinging by the community section to see them!

Jurgenator

Jurgenator has by far been the most prolific theorist this year, and my hat goes off to him for it. Though I may not agree with his theories, it is refreshing to see another viewpoint. He has also been immensely active in the lore chat, and my hat goes off to him for keeping it alive.

SenshiOfSadness

Senshi has done a great job with her theories. Though there were much fewer this year. But again, she has been massively active in the lore chat with Jurgenator, and I am extremely happy to see her keeping the conversation going!

Connie

Connie is a complete and absolute bitch. But we love her for it. We clash often and shittalk now and then, but her input to FNaFLore has been invaluable. Though she has caused me many headaches, least of all agitating the Kizzylore drama, I’m glad that she is able to contribute to FNaFLore, and I am very happy she is in our Discord chat. Though she could do with finishing a theory once or twice. She’s had a lot of scrapped theories I’d have love to see fleshed out!

SpringPopo

Yes, even a Freddit mod gets good praise this year. 2019 is already amazing, huh? Though he has not posted a single theory, he has contributed massively to the lore chat. Here’s hoping you somehow keep enjoying our lore chat! Hopefully, even more than the one on Freddit’s Discord!

Scott Cawthon

Though I feel he has utterly mishandled the lore (a view that seems to be spreading more and more the longer he remains silent on large swathes of unsolved mysteries), and despite his strawman of my position on the lore (disagreement with execution and consistency does not mean disavowal of lore content), it is without question that without Scott, this site and community would not exist. No thank you post would be complete without a nod of the hat to the man who started it all. Though I fear continuing disappointment lore-wise, I do look forward to the next installations, if only for the continued renders and what scraps he feels he can leave us. Just please, don’t be scared to reveal some much needed story in the next game!

The Freddit Moderation

2018 has been one hell of a year for Freddit-FNaFLore relations. Though we had initially put out a hand several times to bridge the gap after the Basetown drama, these attempts have all failed and Freddit and FNaFLore are at odds it seems. But they have still provided us with much entertainment, largely due to Freddit’s inefficient, petty and laughable moderation. In particular, those at the top. Special thanks in this category go naturally to Invaderzz, Basetown and Jdal. Possibly F-N-A-F-G-Y-F-R, unsure on that still. Buzzek, though adversarial, I’d say gets some genuine thanks, as well as Cagneycarnation. Buzzek did treat me the most fairly, and my impression of Cagney has been nothing but good in regards to moderation principles. It is regrettable that, in getting carried away with the Fleshmonger’s various projects, one of my mistaken decisions seems to have turned them completely against me.

Without this whole banning drama – one caused by the mod team because I dared to discuss plans to run a Jimsaw-style moderation election campaign – I would not have the litany of fanart I do. I would not have a 3D model of the Fleshmonger. I would not have as dedicated a following. I would not have made the shop (Still a work in progress), which is actually advancing my IRL Web Design career by developing an e-commerce website.

I have had some laughs. Actually, a lot of laughs. The laughs have come thick and fast, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. The circus that has been put on over the last year would make even Jevil blush. The developments, the hypocrisy, the blatant and degenerate display of a mod team too scared to be criticised. A team who now demand I never speak of them again on my own platforms in order to secure my unbanning. This despite reassurances that I would never, using any account in my control, post such content to Freddit. A team who has the nerve to demand practically editorial control over my site’s content.

To expose and continue to expose such a repulsively Orwellian regime gatekeeping the largest FNaF community there is – effectively expelling users from the fandom for reasons they admit aren’t founded on their own rules – has been a massive delight and privilege. It reeks of the current Patreon saga, and indeed many IRL situations of community expulsion that have also taken place in 2018, particularly in the political spheres of the world. I will enjoy the second year of our dance, Zach. 2019, the year that this dance shall finally meet its crescendo in a display so explosive, Ballora herself could not top it. It will be an honour and a privilege to continue this performance.

We’ll see what other admissions I can shake out of the mod team before this story’s closing chapter, and the inevitable defeat of the Freddit mod team at the hands of the ever-stalking, ever-vigilant and never-tiring Monger of the Flesh.

The Fleshmonger Campaign Staff

Though we’ve had little to do, I would like to thank the Fleshmonger staff. This year should prove to be our busiest year, so I simply cannot get away without thanking Buggo, Neither, Skytlz, TheComicalMelon, Peridot and the most dedicated of all the Fleshmonger followers, Subwoofer. We’re going to have a lot of fun this year! Thank you all for your contributions, artwork, animated gifs and even a fangame! GBAura

Having nearly left the community, I’d like to thank GBAura for sticking to FNaF. Though the mods almost drove her out, I’ve tried to make her welcome in our little corner of the community during her ban, and she continues to be welcome now, after her ban’s lifting. I wish her well in disputing the actual charges of the ban once Momerator can facilitate her dispute meeting, and I hope she can refind herself within the community this year. I for one always recall seeing her name around the community, and we are lucky that Momerator dragged her back after her unjust banning by Freddit.

DirectDoggo

Though we have largely parted ways over differences concerning Momerator’s charity campaign, I do want to extend some thanks to Doggo. At the least, use this as an excuse to send some well-wishes to him for the new year. No matter what you think of me, I continue to only hope for the best for you, as anyone whom knows our situation will confirm.

So, with the thanks now out of the way, lets go over some general updates! We’ve quite a laundry list to get through. My bad, honestly. And here is why.

Why is the site so inactive?

Honestly, time. time and work. The last few months especially, I have been swamped with IRL work, often working from home or on the weekends. My routine before the holidays was dragging myself to work, working, dragging myself home, sleeping, repeat. I feel into a bit of a rut honestly. I will try to break this rut the best I can. But, sadly, only so much can be done. But, a lot of this can be explained due to one single factor.

My Current FNaF Outlook

This is the most pressing reason concerning the lack of new content. Currently, I’ve been on a bit of a downer concerning FNaF. I’ve been well and truly burnt out by Scott, and it’s refreshing to see multiple people now taking up the rhetoric that Scott is a poor storyteller. Is he definitively a poor storyteller? perhaps. perhaps not. I am unsure if I am that strongly inclined. He most certainly mishandled the lore, as he himself admits to from 4 onwards, having to make games to clarify lore points.

Really, the issue is one of identity and timeline. The timeline of events is all muddled. No-one can solidly place SL. No-one can identify who possesses Golden Freddy, or if Fredbear is possessed. We aren’t even sure about how many kids got killed. Instead of focusing on these points, Scott seems intent to move the story along, without answering it’s prior points.

One does not enjoy a book when an entire chapter is missing, or when a page is blank. How he could ever have expected people to be ok to just move on, is beyond me.

But bear in mind, this has been an issue for over 2 years. I was only ever interested in Minecraft for 4 years max (which by the way, I was the Wiki moderator of, don’t forget). The Minecraft world is practically infinite. Scott’s games have thus far commanded half that time for a tiny, insignificant fraction of Minecraft’s gameplay value, where the main promise of FNaF is its story. With the story being mishandled, is it not natural for me to lose interest rapidly?

My lost friend, Wynthyst and I, had both talked about this when I had left the Minecraft Wiki. When I left, she had said, this is just natural. People move on, and that is expected. I have a few obligations to wrap up here, not least of all concerning “PokéFNaF” and those donation obligations.

New Content

There is still a lot of content I need to sort out. I actually have it all on my computer in a folder, which has just been wasting away over the last two years. By far the largest folder is on Popgoes, which has about 11GB total of content I need to filter through. But we also have the character pages that need sorting, as well as the minigames.

Time once again has been the issue, but I hope to manage it better this year. I know I keep promising to do this, and I do mean every time that I want to sort this out. It’s just structuring my workday. I’d like to apologise for all of these being so delayed so far.

The Charity Arcade

This project sadly has been left absolutely barren. We’ve got about 34 of the characters done for the charity game, which is sadly about 1/10 of the total characters. the entire overworld is largely planned out. We’ll try to get a rough demo out to proof this to you all. It will probably only demonstrate movement and set battles with no carrying-over HP/PP etc, and the characters will be scattered. But, hopefully, it’ll work well. Again, it’s just time. Getting the time to do this all.

Ban Appeal

So, as many of you know, I have been banned for some time now from Freddit. The current facts both side understand is, for one, I have broken no rules. They have acknowledged this. Their reason for banning me is just what I anticipated. They fear an article. They fear another Basetown situation happening. It took many months to get to that point, but their demand is now laid bare. Their demand to be unbanned is that they do not want any Freddit content posted on the site. Not that they don’t want FNaFLore content concerning Freddit to be kept off of Freddit – I’d happily comply with that. Their site, their rules, whatever. No, they want to reach further, grasping at FNaFLore’s ability to critique the subreddit.

They want what is essentially editorial control over my content. This is something I simply cannot allow. So, the ban continues. It’s a war of attrition I do not intend to lose. It’s almost been a year, and I think that goes some way to proving that I won’t back down. The longer this goes on, the more determined I am to beat these false charges based on an inability to handle criticism of any kind. It’s not even about the Fleshmonger at this point. They want me to stop talking about them, period. Fuck that. I won’t kowtow to their unreasonable demands.

As a public figure, I am determined to keep the community around this site well informed, which is why I have my large article that I try to update, but again, the burnout is very overreaching in the article being a bit outdated currently. Still, it’s pretty comprehensive at present!

In Conclusion

The site itself has suffered marginally. we’re at the same levels of activity as we were at the beginning of last year, which is a halting of the slow rise the site had.

Still, bans and burnout be damned, I’m going to try to update this site more regularly. I want to redesign the site. I tried to make it look like Scott’s site, but frankly, through one side of my mouth, I say his site is horrible and oh god please stop. Through the other, I know I can make a better site. So, I plan to do just that. A full overhaul of this site will be in the works, which will include dynamic and seasonal stylesheets. Hopefully, it’ll be sorted by the end of the year. This will likely be a gradual overhaul.

August 2018 Update

Hello all

Well, this month may prove to be just as interesting as the one before. Site-wise, I have sorted out both the FFPS Audio Transcripts and the UCN Audio Transcripts. But what is perhaps more interesting is the fallout from the prior emails, my appeal video and then my ban appeal breakdown.

As many know, I have been embroiled in a ban dispute with Freddit. It is a permanent ban, though they try to flower it up with “indefinite”, as if that means anything. I’ve been disputing it month on month, and they have expertly dodged providing any proof or evidence of any rulebreak or violation.

So, I asked for some input from you fine people. With this input, I created the following video:

I thank everyone for the input, and still have many more emails to reply to. I shall get to those in due course. But what was fascinating was what became of it. Freddit naturally rejected it after they took offence that I said Invaderzz wasn’t man enough to engage in homosexuality (which I claimed was the manliest thing you could do, being devoid of women). Naturally, when he got offended and cited it as an insult, I apologised profusely and made very embellished claims of Invaderzz and his, for lack of a better word, traffic, capacity and mileage. In order to right my horrible slander, you understand.

But, after that example of contextless offence, the video appeal seemed to get where it needed to go, as well as achieving it’s main goal as an appeal. But, something frustrating still happened. People still did not understand my ban. This was a secondary objective of the appeal, to show I’ve been banned for no reason. Sadly, that failed.

So, I decided to do this the old fashioned way. I decided to do a full ban overview, in the form of an article. I took all of my messages, put them onto my site, annotated them, did some cool dropdown styling and Javascript with them, just went all out. I wanted to knock this one out of the park. I even commented on all messages with my thoughts. To wrap it up, I’ve since added a lovely little note to every single page on the top left. It links to the post from every page, blog post etc. on the main FNaF part of the site. This, this seems to have caught some people’s eyes. Please click on the thumbnail to visit the post:

At first, the article was put onto Freddit, whom took it down. But after that, another post survived 2 hours that just called for ban reform without linking to my article, meeting very positive reactions. What is curious, is that the post was hidden. Then, it was deleted. After the poster talked to the mods, it went back up. Then, it got deleted due to ban reports. The poster was told that, despite the reports clearly being false as nearly everyone supported the notion of ban reform, they were going to submit to the 5 users whom reported it.

Now, THAT is curious. The feedback being so overwhelmingly in support showed the thirst for ban reform that users had. All of a sudden, people were starting to catch on to the problem, and you could feel the worry from the mods. That they’d just let the post succumb to false flags from a silent minority, rather than deal with it like a moderator should, that is a VERY telling sign. If ever there was a sign as to how justified I am, this is it. People support ban reform, and the mods are scared. Just where they should be. Their reaction to this post is so telling. They should certainly be scared. From the support, I’m confident, I will get ban reform, easily. So easily.

Now, I hear tell the mods are going to draft a response, either to my ban or to ban reform. Having talked to them, I know what they will likely do. Based on all of their replies so far, if it is addressed to my personal ban situation, they will claim drama or toxicity without citing specifics. If they do cite specifics, it will be drama I already debunked in my appeal, with a claim that I didn’t debunk it at all. Failing those tactics, they will claim my actions since my banning, which is me defending against my ban, are to blame.

All of these outcomes, I can tackle just fine. Hell, the fact I had to go to these lengths just to get a proper serious reply with any sort of reasons? That’s an indictment on the team, not on me. I can only defend myself, and when I see people spreading lies, I need to address it. People were doing so even in the post calling for ban reform, unsure of why I was banned, or questioning the 50/20 ban. I had to set the record straight, and show what I was dealing with. So, I’m chill with whichever argument they try to throw at me as evidence. I am confident they have nothing on me, and can produce no evidence of any wrongdoing on their platforms, leaving them with the sole immoral reason of “Well, Reddit let us and we can do what we want”, or attempt to use my defence as reason to condemn me.

Now, if it is on ban reform, that’s where things get a bit hazy and exciting, potentially. If they address it in any form, we saw how positive that post was. It got to the front page, and only a few of the 48 comments disagreed with the sentiment. If it’s addressed, people will start talking. These people, I presume, will be sane and sensible people whom will quite easily have and conclude the reform discussion to a level that I will be personally content. If Freddit accept ban reform, this whole ordeal may end. I may get unbanned, the Fleshmonger campaign will tentatively end, hell, we may just be able to #FreeBlue at the same time. If they ask for community feedback, I am certain the community will see to it that the proper reform will be implemented.

But where things get more organised, is if they reject it outright. This is the inevitable scenario I am planning for, because you must recall, I know these mods. They slither with their words, never showing any proof, never accepting any responsibility for their actions as moderators. So, this is the scenario I am planning for the most.

In the event of a rejection scenario, I’ve been proposing a new watchdog group to drive the point home. Really nail Freddit to their own actions, so there is no further denying their practices. The Freddit Accountability Project. FAP would keep track of all unjust bans, and note them on this site. It would track case studies of these users, host proofs of transgressions, detail corrupt actions undertaken per-moderator and overall just hold them accountable. FAP is, potentially, going to really shake things up in this pointless and stupid attempt to get the Freddit mods to live by higher standards. An attempt that shouldn’t even exist. I should not have to waste my time and the time of you fine readers, all to get Freddit to use proof in banning and to stop using permabans for people whom use jokes, try to change policy or simply are unfortunate enough to be disliked by the community. I should be working on my PokeFNaF game. I should be writing up DND notes for two of my cousins’ first game. I should be doing the minigame maps. But, if the worst case scenario occurs, then that’s my solution.

The fight to clean up Freddit soldiers onwards. My only, sole regret is that Momerator is not here and supporting us. She’s been away, working on political projects, and has had no time to concern herself with petty squabbles such as ours. I wish her well in these projects. I hope for her support, once I find the best time to inform her of the latest actions against myself, ban reform and GBAura. But, I do not expect any participation.

Still, That’s about it for the update.

Oh I saw Scott’s interview by the way. I must say, I was disappointed. Scott seems to think theorising is the fun part. Perhaps, long ago, this was the case. But I stand by my past statement. Theory burn is killing the community, and people are getting increasingly more hostile with every game that answers nothing. The theory wars are starting to resemble theory catfights, and this is not healthy. Scott, no-one is asking you to fully explain the lore. But opening the box and solving some of the basic stuck points? Everyone wants that.

It’s been 4 years of theorising. Have you tried to do something like painting the same portrait over and over for 4 years? Or solving the same puzzle for 4 years? You’re killing people off by NOT clarifying these points. Please, move on the story, fine. But a bit of a thought to the mysteries you left behind would not hurt. I thought you understood this. Is this not why you commented on Matpat’s game theory, just before FFPS? To try to confirm some details, knowing FFPS wouldn’t do so and you didn’t want people to be disappointed? That is what I’m talking about. We’d like answers, and then to arrange a nice neat timeline. Then, unlike what I presume to be your biggest fear, we can move onto the next game you decide to make. It won’t kill the community.

Still, I plan to transcribe it. ideally after the 20th, I can get to work. It’s a long way off, but due to aformentioned dickery, I need to focus on that DnD game. I still need to figure out how to work my 3D printer.

Concerning my Permaban

Hello all

Well, last month was interesting. I’m still working on the shop, and I am quite proud of the design so far. Concerning the contest, all entries were deleted sadly, either by mods or by users. No winners, so I suppose I may need to try another, more subtle contest.

So, I want to talk a bit about my ban, and what precisely is going on for those who are less informed on the situation.

So, I’ve been banned from Freddit for over 106 days. Prior to this ban, I had been receiving multiple reports from Freddit users that have been banned for, what I believe to be, completely unjust reasons. Things such as jokes, mob rule based on popularity within the community and personal grudges. Not only this, but these bans were permanent. Nowadays, the mods have decided to try to sugarcoat this by claiming it’s “indefinite”, and they’ll hear any appeal every month. I consider this a cop-out to try to lessen what is plain as day. they can (and are) rejecting several appeals month after month because of non-violating reasons. As far as I’m concerned, the bans are permanent. My ban is a permanent ban, conditional on me doing something for the team that they have no right to ask of me.

So, back to the thrust of this article. I heard all of this business with multiple users being banned for false/terrible reasons, and decided I’d try to sort this out. I started to try to work with Invaderzz as the head mod. Results were mixed. I had discussed this issue with Invaderzz, and he was unwilling to do anything himself, despite agreeing that most of these bans I put to him were unjust. Invaderzz, quite frankly, is scared of his own moderation team. He refuses to enforce actual moderator principles on his team for fear of them leaving. That, or back when we were civil, he bullshat his way through our personal conversations to give me that impression. Either case is quite likely.

During one such attempt to revoke a ban that was over a user jokily threatening to spam a #FreeBlue meme when unbanned, the moderator Colatiel actually personally attacked him for what little spine he displayed trying to overturn the ban. Yet she is now a moderator again, despite walking all over him, making him noticeably upset in PMs to the point where I was telling him, mate, you can’t just let your team walk all over you. Discussing bans and their legitimacy is NECESSARY. It is how you, as a team, evolve your ethos and ethics. It’s how you keep yourselves honest and true to the community, and any mod that dare attack you over a ban dispute should be disciplined or warned.

Needless to say, I feel he is no longer fit for his position at the one with full power over Freddit. I do not believe he has the spine for it, as clearly demonstrated by virtue of that event, and her re-addition to the team. At this point, I would openly welcome yet another uprising, when or if such a thing occurs. Supplementing an inactivity of motivation from Basetown with one of a weak will is still inactivity non the less, and such people should not hold absolute power.

So, my plan was simple. I would run a somewhat funny semi-serious campaign for the scrapped Halloween FNaFLore Fleshmonger character. The campaign would feature some small #FreeBlue memes, but overall have a message of fair ban reform. Simply reserving permanent bans for bots or security threats, ensuring all bans have an end time and ensuring all bans follow subreddit and discord rules. This, I believe, is the bare minimum for a good moderation team. I toyed with posting it to Freddit. I considered adding it in an update such as this, a monthly one tied in with other news. The campaign was due to start in 2019, sometime. The first hint of an election, he’d be out in force.

The campaign was hardly serious. It would be me fumbling around a podium dressed as the Fleshmonger, complete with a furred head/hands. It would probably be really goofy and clumsy for me, but this was a bit of a ruse. it was to make people talk. if my fumbling can get people talking, they will eventually stop laughing/cringing/crying and turn to the actual message. Thus my absurdity would lead to a conversation on ban practices. This was the plan, and the full purpose of the campaign. The biggest message was the ban policy. Frankly, I have little intent to be a mod. If I had to do so, I would. But, I feel my efforts are better spent elsewhere. All the applications were out of show, to go through the motions. I didn’t even take them seriously, when applying. Not the Fleshmonger one, at least.

Despite taking absolutely no initiative or action to impose good moderator principles, after a short talk with me in PMs, Invaderzz clearly must have been spooked. Since the days where I helped to take down Basetown by amplifying the community’s voice (and ending that entire drama that had brewed for weeks), the moderators have been scared of me. I know this from insiders that at one point, they were keeping track of all of my posts personally. Now, I dared to try – even in jest – to become a moderator. This spooked them, and they banned me.

Their reasons so far have been hilarious, reaching and demonstrably easy to tear down. The initial claims were over a Rule 9 issue, “drama” and the campaign itself. But the best reason was subverting the moderator application process. I shot down all claims of drama one by one (one was even me HELPING the moderators flush out a leaking mod), dismissed the rule 9 issue quite thoroughly, laughed off the claim that I was subverting the moderation application process and defended the entire Fleshmonger campaign.

As of this moment, the mods have dropped all charges, bar the Fleshmonger campaign. It violates no rules, but they demand I stop. The general notion I get is, is when I drop the campaign, they drop the ban.

I will not do this, and I will not do this for a good reason. The campaign itself is not against the rules. I decided to demonstrate this by running a further contest at the 90 day mark on my birthday. I also have yet to decide how to promote the Fleshmonger campaign. I am unable to stop other users posting it to Freddit, but was happy to keep it off of Freddit, as I have with the #FreeBlue meme by and large. Instead of any talk or pre-banning the topic, despite actually having contact with me, they outright banned me. No discussion, no warning. Now, they seek to destroy that campaign.

It is perfectly acceptable for me to make this campaign. Others have done similar campaigns in the past, and I expect to be able to as well. Even if it’s banned on Freddit, I have every right to make a bunch of videos trying to get the Fleshmonger to apply to any position I wish, be it President, Queen or indeed, Freddit Moderator. I refuse to back down out of principle. I will not have a team of adolescents tell me what I am and am not allowed to do in my free time. This is a group of moderators seeing a semi-prominent member DARE to question their absolute rule by proposing such reforms, and banning it outright. This is tyranny, and all of the Freddit mods are complicit. The newer ones I’d argue, complicit by virtue that they hold no sway, and to rock the boat risks being kicked. But I am unaware of their stances.

Ironically, as always, simply saying “We will ban according to the rules we set, we will reserve permabans for bots or security threats and we will ensure all bans have a set and reasonable expiry date. We will also enforce these rules on the Discord server.”, and sticking to such a statement, would demolish the entire Fleshmonger campaign.

Freddit, your moderators decided to not take such a pledge. Instead, they decided to actively start this war between the two of us, in an attempt to bury this issue and not have to face it. That is how far they have gone to protect their ability to ban people outside of the rules and with no expiring date. They would rather cause all of this nonsense, rather than stick to – what I consider to be – a perfectly reasonable and completely agreeable pledge in regard to permabans.

We’re not moving mountains here, we’re talking about a simple ban policy. 4 points, none of which are unreasonable. Yet when I say I’d try to get a fictional character to be a mod based on that platform, they tyrannically slammed down all they could. Trouble is, my message still spreads far and wide. Your reading this is proof of this fact. Being banned means nearly nothing. I keep going for the greater good of the community itself. It is the same principle that threw me against Scott during the Dolls drama, which was later vindicated by Game Theory. This shoudln’t be an issue, let alone one of permabans.

As they continue to warn people on things not against the rules (and things that shouldn’t be against the rules), they further prove my point of ban reform. Every day I am banned is yet another that they are banning me without legitimate reason. Every further user banned by their hand are welcome in our Discord, and a gathering of Freddit’s scraps have already formed, people who were banned for no just reason. A large group of disgruntled Freddit users, banned for “toxicity”, being unpopular or old grudges with those involved in the team. This is why there is a current tension between FNaFLore and Freddit. It is a disagreement on policy between a seasoned veteran of the Minecraft Wiki Moderation Team who worked under a legitimate and well-versed moderation company (YES GUYS, HE SAID IT, THE MEME IS STILL ALIVE!), and a bunch of adolescents who feel they’re above moderation standards.

I do not intend to blink. I hold my freedom to do what I wish in my spare time very, very dear. This is one of the reasons for the shop. For as long as I am banned, I plan to flex my rights in more blatant and grand ways that I can outside of Freddit. I do this to show I will not be silenced, as well as to promote the Fleshmonger’s campaign. Not for his being a mod, I do not expect this to ever occur. But to promote good ethical ban reform. This is akin to banning someone for the promotion of a change in the rules. It is not justifiable, and this as of this moment, the moderators are still unable to justify the ban using actual rules.

To satisfy their demands, I would not only need to cancel this – in my eyes – demonstrably needed campaign/message, but I would need to also actively ban discussion of the Fleshmonger from my Discord, and possibly the #FreeBlue meme as well. I refuse to be so tyrannical on my own userbase. My users can talk of whatever they wish, and whomever thinks otherwise will not be dignified with such an action.

I will not be censored. I will not curtail my ethics for a group of people who ban people based on their popularity, personal grievances and disagreements on policies, while still having the sheer nerve to call themselves good moderators. Who don’t have the spine to implement good moderator practice for fear that their team will disintegrate. People like these are charlatans for the former, and cowards for the latter. I do not plan to stop for people who are unfit to call themselves moderators.

I am Kizzycocoa. I have been banned for over 106 days. I have done no wrong. I will continue to do no wrong on much, much grander scales, as and when they take my whims. The shop is the next step, but further steps exist beyond that. We wills see how far things go, but know that I do not intend to stop, and so long as I am banned, the gestures will only get grander and more absurd, while all being fully in line with their rules, or outside of their jurisdiction.

As an addendum, many of those whom wish to see this sorted are urging me to reach out, to which I also want. I want to know if, after reading this, you have a view on the situation. I will put out a contact form, to which I shall respond to any/all questions the community may have on this matter. I still plan to sort out a video to fully flesh out this situation. I am curious to see my support. For me, this entire thing hinges on ban reform, and their actions demonstrate that need. I would like to know how others see this.

Happy Birthday to Kizz!

Hello all!

Today, the 15th of May, just so happens to be the anniversary of my birth. I have now officially wasted 1/4 of my life on video games, and do not intend to stop. So, I have an announcement, as well as an art competition with a cash prize. But first, a small bit of preface text.

I was permabanned from Freddit almost 3 months ago now, following a plan to run a presidential Trump-like moderator campaign for the FNaFLore Fleshmonger. The reasoning for my ban has been causing drama (all but 2 of their dramas I debunked), violating rule #9 (pre-emptive and also a misunderstanding on their part), subverting the moderation application process (I shit you not, this was one of their actual reasons. As if Kairinezz wasn’t a good enough example that Freddit discards the public’s wishes.) and finally, “Being toxic”. Mark that last one Popgoes, Phisnom, Squidnow and literally anyone the mods dislike. I may not think you toxic, and I’d not care if you are if you followed the rules of the platform.

But they want me banned so much, they’ve stooped to subjective reasoning, rather than objective evidence. This means if someone thinks you’re toxic and reports you for it, you could be permanently banned. THIS SHOULD WORRY EVERYONE.

I tried in the early hours to get this sorted out, but they muted me outright. So, while I continue to appeal and smash down each one of their points, I wanted to do some things that I have every right to do, which do not violate their rules. Things that they cannot cite rule violations, and things that I will take great satisfaction in watching unfold. Who needs Dawko vs. Scott, when we’ve got FNaFLore vs. Freddit as quality entertainment?

So, onto the actual news!

The FNaFLore Shop!

h0i! Welcom to….. KIZ SHOP!

I will be starting a FNaFLore shop, which will contain meme merchandise relating to FNaFLore’s in-jokes. It will not infringe any of Scott’s copyrights.

Primarily, the shop will feature merchandise of the FNaFLore Fleshmonger, as well as merchandise with the #FreeBlue label.

The Fleshmonger is my personal creation, not Scott’s. He will follow me in this community, to the next and the next. He is only here as I am here, and his nickname of “The FNaFLore Fleshmonger” is a construct to show whom’s train of ethics he comes from, FNaFLore (Ban based on actions, permas only for bots and dangers) or Freddit (Ban based on outside activity, permabans for “toxic” people).

#FreeBlue is a meme of my conception, too. It is my claim. A meme I originated, unrelated to FNaF.

A portion of all shop proceeds will directly support Momerator’s cancer fundraiser. If I can get permission from Scott (who has yet to reply), I may also use Momerator’s avatar in some pieces. I do not know if her avatar is something Scott holds copyright over or not, so I am clarifying this with him. If not, I’ll try to see if I can use any other avatar, perhaps for a group shot of the moderation of FNaFlore. These pieces would have a more substantial portion going to Momerator.

The shop has been set up for four distinct reasons.

1. To learn how to build shops for my IRL web design job.
2. To support Momerator’s cancer fundraiser. I am unsure of the percentage as of yet, but a portion of all sales will go towards Momerator.
3. To satisfy demand for Fleshmonger election memorabilia and Freeblue merchandise.
4. In protest to the Freddit permaban I’ve been unjustly handed over the Fleshmonger’s campaign, as well as to promote and encourage a Streisand effect. Exercising my freedom to make these spicy memes even MORE prevalent, while not breaking a single rule of theirs.

Users can expect to be able to buy election badges, bumper stickers, regular stickers, flags, magnets and posters of FreeBlue and the Fleshmonger. There are even a few items that have forced me to install an age-restricted area of the site. Yeah, look forward to those reveals in particular. they’re going to be jaw-dropping, I promise you.

The shop will not contain any FNaF intellectual property. It will not infringe any of Scott’s copyrights. Getting that in a second time to let it sink into those already sending this off to him.

This could have been stopped, Freddit. But now, it is too late.

Where’s Fleshy? 2018

In protest of the Freddit ban, I am also proposing a large and law-abiding game of “Where’s Fleshy?”, the newest hit game among the kids. The premise is a simple spin on the popular “Where’s Wally?” game, breaks no rules (Try as you will Invaderzz, this is all on the up and up) and will feature a cash prize of £30 £60, or your country’s equivalent (~$40.67 ~$81.08).

This will be paid to your Paypal account, which I will ask you for by email if you have won. The results will be made public in a final results table. If you want your name to be hidden, please do say in the comments section.

So, here are the rules. The Fleshmonger, while not yet officially running for mod, is surveying his peoples. Watching them, machete in hand, to gauge what he should do and stand up for as a Freddit mod, a political powerhouse or an (ALLEGED!) homicidal murderer. As an artist, you must sneak a depiction of him among your artwork, and post that artwork to Freddit.

There are some rules for this competition. These are:

• The artwork MUST comply with all Freddit rules, simply having the Fleshmonger within itself. This specifically means:
  • The artwork must be about FNaF, Scott Cawthon’s other games and/or the community. (Rule #3)
  • The artwork cannot include pornographic depictions (Though please, do PM me them for funsies). (Rule #4)
  • The artwork cannot be stolen from another user. (Rule #7)
  • The artwork cannot be low-effort and/or low-quality. (Rule #8)
  • The artwork cannot have misleading, undescriptive, or clickbait/self-deprecating titles. (Rule #9)
• To ensure he is recognisable, the artwork must contain at least 2 parts, 1 of which must be major. These are listed in the table to the right. Bonus points will be awarded to those who post more parts than required. Starred major items do not count as the necessary required part, but will be scored as a major item. the Murder option must be perpetrated by the Fleshmonger within his slicing/stabbing range.
• The Fleshmonger must be clearly identifiable in the artwork. No shrinking to oblivion or obscuring until he’s no longer recognisable. Also, major/minor items will only be added if they are clearly recognisable too. If you have any concerns about his eligability in your artwork, please feel free to Contact us in advance of your submission.
• If the artwork is a video, gif or other animated piece, The Fleshmonger must appear for at least 2 solid seconds. All eligible additional body pieces must be visible for this time as well, at the same time the rest of The Fleshmonger is visible.
• There is only one Fleshmonger, and he is not a pile of limbs. Unless he’s travelling through what is clearly a portal, you cannot spread the parts around the entire artwork. They must be part of one singular body in one specific part of the artwork.

This is a tiny fragment of a larger Where’s Wally image. Putting aside it’s non-FNaF nature, lets say this image has 300 karma. it shows an additional 3 Major items, meaning the score is 1200. It has 1 mod comment without noticing, making the score 1296. 3 users pointed him out, so the score is 1218.24. a mod pointed him out, so the score is 609.12. This is the final score.

Your work will be scored according to a hand-crafted scoring system, and will be scored in the order listed, which works as follows:

1. Base value of your post’s total Karma as viewed on the 1st of June, 2018 at 0:00AM.
2. For every additional major Fleshmonger body part visible, Add the value of your post’s base Karma again.
3. For every additional minor Fleshmonger body part visible, Add half the value of your post’s base Karma again.
4. If the Fleshmonger is murdering or carrying a corpse, and that corpse is Wally or a Freddit moderator, Add the value of your post’s base Karma again. This does not stack.
5. If the Fleshmonger is in the Where’s Wally pose, plus 1% to the score.
6. For every moderator comment that does not see the Fleshmonger, plus 8% to the score.
7. For every non-moderator comment that points out the Fleshmonger, minus 2% from the score.
8. For every moderator comment that points out the Fleshmonger, HALVE the score. This WILL stack.
9. If the artwork is removed from Freddit, it is instantly disqualified, unless reinstated by the Freddit team.
10. If there is a concerted effort brought to our attention that you’ve publicly promoted the artwork in Discord or on other media in a way that can be read as relating to this challenge, it is instantly disqualified. This will be judged on a case-by-case basis, and the ruling will be backed by 3 members of the FNaFLore moderation. Treat your artwork as if it is just another piece you’ve made. Do not treat it as if it’s special.
11. If the artwork is posted by a Freddit/Freddit Discord mod, it will be instantly disqualified IF:
    • There are any deleted comments (unless context is provided in full)
    • The post is held in a place of undeserving prominence, be it a header, sidebar, pinned post, Discord announcement or given any other extra advantage.

To enter the competition, simply fill out the below contact form with your preferred name, Reddit username and artwork URL. There is a small note section for comments. Among any other comments, please be sure to note where the Fleshmonger is, so in the event you’ve really done a good job at hiding him, we can find him ourselves. If you fear your current alignment in this matter may give you away, we will accept entries made on other reddit accounts on your behalf, so long as you are not evading a ban. Entries will be open until midnight on the 30th of May GMT. You may submit as many entries as you wish, but each will act as an individual entry. you cannot stack entry values. Feel free to play around with styles to better hide him, such as a more abstract angular style, or perhaps a chibi depiction. anything goes, so long as it’s clearly the Fleshmonger in some form.

In the event that including the Fleshmonger in any artwork (even if 99.9% FNaF-related) is tyrannically blocked by Freddit, THE PRIZE MONEY WILL BE DOUBLED. THEY ACTUALLY DID IT. Amazing. They went the tyrannical route. So, now, THE PRIZE MONEY IS DOUBLED. IT IS NOW £60.

Adding a Fleshmonger to your artwork is not a bannable offence, people add their own characters all the time. It’s only bannable because it’s me. I was considering disqualifying that piece too, as it was far too dark and not obvious. Stunning. They continue to violate every shred of ethics they had left.

I’m doing this on the 15th, because your entries are my little birthday present to myself. It is against absolutely no rules (in fact, I mandate they are followed), and it presents the mods with a unique moral quandary. I will enjoy seeing just how they react. Will they get more tyrannical? Will they attempt to thwart contestants? Will they simply ignore it, letting me “win”? It will be a fascinating competition, and will provide me great entertainment during my birthday month’s end. I may make this an annual thing, if this situation continues further. I will look forward to the reactions from the community and mods, and note it for any future ideas.

What next?

I am still trying to get this place up to scratch. some of you will have noticed that I have kept the teasers updated, at the least. I just have so much going on, and frankly, I take the moderator’s actions as a serious offence I need to tackle. I am still trying to keep all these plates spinning, but between work, this nonsense and IRL projects, it’s slow-going. I have no doubt I will complete all of this, it will just take a while as I try to strike these out, one by one. I am hoping to strike out the IRL thing, but will then focus on the site proper. it’s just, time. There’s not enough of it in a day.

I am deeply disappointed in the moderator’s actions, which have only leached time from other activities, such as the game and this site’s overall conduct. As far as I am concerned, I have no further confidence in the team, and will support any alternate candidate or uprising that would occur in the future, much like the last time the mods went rogue. I have given them every opportunity to correct this, but they have failed. Even today, I gave them the chance to unban me, and to stop this. But now, I no longer feel restraint. I will do anything I want, and what’s better still, none of it will be against the rules.

I am unsure as to what will occur next. I know, there is information I can utilise to whip up a shitstorm and potentially repeat a Basetown incident. Stuff that would outrage the entire community to the point of yet another call for a change of leadership. But, I would need further support that I currently do not have. The general community are not aware that being “Toxic” or exhibiting “Extreme Degeneracy” (I shit you not, that was a ban reason for a user on their Discord) are ban reasons the moderators now use. Until they are aware and as angry as before, I cannot do much. Do look out though. If they continue their improper conduct as moderators of a public place, there may just be a trump card that’ll come into play. It all relies on their conduct. If you have any further ammo I may use, such as unjust bannings or blatant corruption, please do get in touch. Every little helps.

Fundraisers and Dramas and Opinions! Oh my!

Hello all.

it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve meant to post many times, but real life has been so busy, as has the charity game. I feel I must give an update on several projects I’ve got going.

I know this is late, but I need to post it somewhere. I will try to find a better place to fully promote it.

For the past year and a half, former Freddit moderator Momerator has had Stage 4 cancer, originating on her hands. the result of this has been that she is no longer able to create any art, her financial situation has worsened (particularly in light of the medical bills), and this has led to her relying on food banks to feed her family and cashing in her life insurance to keep the house. On top of this, her survival rate for the next 5 years is 45%. This means it is now more likely that she will be dead in the next 5 years than alive. This is unacceptable.

So, myself, DirectDoggo, JuniorGenius and Invaderzz all confronted Momerator about this. We suggested a fundraiser half a year ago when she told us she had cancer, but she refused. She had been refusing help for so long, having felt like she was already a burden on the community – particularly after Scott sorted out her house last time. After some back and forth, she let us set up this fundraiser for her.

The fundraiser is to help her out of this hole. to get her life back on track by paying bills, paying for medical treatment and also to help pay for food.

Alongside this fundraiser announcement is A premature announcement of my Pokemon-esque fighting game I’ve been working on. We’re still developing it, but to try to promote the fundraiser, I am letting people who donate have appearances in the game. The game release is going to be waaaaaay into the future, and I likely will still need to recruit help for it, but I still want to help in some way.

This is all a part of the community hub, which is the base of operations for all of the projects that are supporting Momerator.

My Permaban

April fools just came and went (Missed it? here’s our joke!), and with it, the knowledge that I am permabanned permeated to Freddit itself, rather that staying confined to just Discord and Reddit PMs.

Crack open outlook and prepare to once again mail Scott (as some of you usually do), because some drama is cooking up. This time, it is yet another story of moderator mismanagement, unjustifiable permanent bans and abuses of power. It’ll take a little while to get fully compiled, but I am currently working on a full article to tell you all about how and why I was Permabanned from the subreddit. The mere fact that these people are forcing my hand and wasting my time infuriates me. But, when moderators that should know better crack open these bans for the stupidest of reasons, one can’t resist publicly exposing them for their unprofessional conduct as people in control of a public forum, and the entire anarchy such ban precedents bring. Especially if that banhammer is squarely placed upon yourself.

I was banned for a joke. worse, I was banned for a joke campaign to push ban reform, the very thing they proved necessary by permabanning me over said joke campaign. Not only did they prove me right, but they guaranteed the thing they disagreed with has to go ahead. By keeping me banned and refusing proper ban reform, they prove the need for my campaign. We’ve got a “who blinks first” standoff, and I don’t intent to be the first to “cave in”.

They have already ceded ground, abandoning 2 of their ban reasonings, instead hoping to scream “DRAMA!” until I leave, in order to justify their ban. Over the coming months, I plan to refute these claims and dismantle their reasoning, brick by brick. Why months, do you ask? Because they’re exceedingly eager to mute me as soon as they are able. They know they have no leg to stand on, and so shut down the conversation before I can fully argue against it. My last two attempts to refute them were cut short from their end. It’s to the point that the head moderator is too scared to even speak in a server I also occupy. It’s quite sad actually, especially as this is all self-inflicted.

it may take many months, but I will come back. I always do.

As a lesson to any would-be moderators, remember that permanent bans on public servers and subreddits should always be used solely against bots and people who are an inherent danger to the security and safety of users. Not against people with minor spam offences who like to joke about #FreeBlue. That is the equivalent of saying that even if a user tries to return 50 years later, they are still an inherent danger to your community. People who would think that should be kept as far away from power as possible, and woe betide any community who would officially adopt this in their rules.

And I’m a moderator of the Minecraft Wiki don’t forget, so I know my stuff. I worked with Curse for 3 years. Did you all remember that? Well I’m saying it again. I’m playing into the meme that I keep bragging about it, by continuing to do so and also explaining it in plain text. It’s how you defang memes. You lean into them and ruin them for everyone else by explaining them in painful detail. Perhaps, that should also be taken to heart by said moderators who get triggered over a colour or a parody character. But I do not intend to go deeper into that side of this controversy, as I’ve pledged to keep the second face of this drama separate to any/all fundraising news. Be on the lookout for the article, when it’s released. This is just the bare minimum of what has gone on.

Until then, I would like to point out and advertise a game that does a very nice job of putting this entire situation into a bit of a minigame scenario. Please check out SubwooferX3’s Nightmare Before Disney 2. Trust me, it’s a work of art, and I adore it completely.

FNaF6 – Thoughts

So, FNaF6 came out, and I thought I’d briefly touch on my thoughts about it. To put it bluntly, I’m glad we finally have a resolution.

I will say, my previous thought on FNaF6 held true. Perhaps Scott could see this himself. The game didn’t really solve the lore, but Scott’s greenlighting of parts of Game Theory’s video did. With so much now confirmed, the lore should be easy to piece together.

I had worked on a video to upload to YouTube, in which I’d actually talk in-depth about the FNaF franchise in it’s entirety. Sadly, the recent revelations basically ruined the purpose of that video. It’s good that it did, but it’s frustrating.

I had the entire thing transcribed, so I’ll share some non-released transcriptions, and just go over them quickly. Let me relay the exact thing I think Scott saw, and took action on.

I feel, this sentiment is what broke Scott into finally confirming something upfront. He saw this notion, and he must have known, no matter what he makes, the shadow of the previous games would eclipse his next game. His next game would be terrible, because of the storytelling of the prior games.

And so, he dumped the story before FNaF6 could be released. This, in essence, defused that entire bomb. His method was far from elegant, but whatever. We have the lore. That’s literally all that long-term followers tend to care about. Then, FNaF6 could be seen as it’s own product. I strongly believe this is the entire psychology behind the release. A release I will note, I predicted within the video. I did not believe for a moment that FNaF6 would never come out. I went on to list my worries.

These were my thoughts on FNaF6. They were, in large part, vindicated worries. The lore in FNaF6 is surprisingly light. Yes, it introduces Henry. But, what else does it do? it only links Henry to the child in one minigame. Remarkably little lore was added to FNaF6, other than a definitive conclusion. There was nothing on the Bite, nothing on the number of kids killed, nothing on what purple guy was what etc.

All the big conclusions occurred within a comment, not within a game.

These were my solutions to the issue of the Theory Burn in the community. It is somewhat frustrating that all of these possibilities were not proven right, instead leaving Scott to dump the lore on us in a comment. I did not see that coming. It’s rare that a vital and necessary piece of the lore is simply dropped in a comment on a community board outside of the canon of the game. That, professionally, doesn’t tend to happen. But, what’s done is done.

Overall, my opinion of FNaF6 is, it’s a nice bow to put onto the franchise. However, lore-wise, it was almost meaningless. What was the real show-stealer was his comment confirming Game Theory’s theory. Or, at least parts of it.

actually, I will admit, I am sort of disappointed in FNaF6. I am, as the gaming community would call me, a “Filthy Casual”. I have 7000 hours on Steam for various “Idle Clickers”. Yeah, it’s sorta a problem, judge me all you want. So, to see a game which is a FNaF game wearing the skin of a tycoon game, I wont lie, I was disappointed. I had hoped for at the least a clicker-like game with minigames, or at most, Theme Hospital with a FNaF bent. instead, threadbare buy-a-thons and no real purpose to the tycoon. it was just eye-candy. Little Inferno, but instead of burning the items, minigames happened and also there was a FNaF game. That was a letdown.

I laid out my frustrations, and before a bit of a personal breakdown (which was egged on by an admin and some of my critics conspiring to frustrate and embarrass me and the site, of which I do have proof), I was straw-manned by Scott. He said, in response to my saying the lore was a mess, that I should rename the site to Kizzylore if I rejected his lore.

I’m going to call him out on that directly and bluntly, pointing out the entire community. I point to Invaderzz, who lost faith in Scott. I point out the theorists that have left. I point out Matpat, who flat-out gave up on the lore and went with the “it’s all a dream”. I will point to every 87’er, who found it hard or impossible to accept the Bite of ’83. I point to anyone who believed that the FNaF:SL Purple Guy meant that there were 2 purple guys, indicated by their differences in FNaF2. I point to everyone who believed that FNaF4 was just a dream. I expand further the Matpat point, in that the entire Dream Theory was a thing for a LONG time.

Critique of your storytelling does not translate to believing your own version of the lore is correct. If you can find me a single person who believes Scott has never fucked up the lore/storytelling even once(including Scott himself), you will have found yourself a liar.

As I said in the welcoming blog post – the first ever post to this site:

This is why the main timeline is so threadbare. If I truly felt my theory was superior and infallable to the creator’s timeline, would I not have put in more points on that timeline? To claim I had such an attitude is disingenuous. I seperate FNaFLore and my own personal theory to the absolute detriment of the timeline page, as it seems my personal lore is actually a lot more in line with the Scott’s timeline. If my personal theory is burned down in order for the truth to come out, I will be ecstatic. I may think Scott’s skill for storytelling leaves much to be desired, sure. But that is a personal opinion. I will be happy to have found the story, and will go on to document it. That is the sole purpose of this site. To find the true FNaF story, and to lay it out.

At no point here did I once ever put forward my own story as canon. Even in the whole Popgoes drama here, I was mislead into believing Popgoes retconned the entire story post-launch. I was still trying to follow the lore of the creator, from the mouth of the main Clickteam developer/coder of the Popgoes game. I just wanted to follow the intended lore, not the lore that was arbitrarily changed that had no bearing in-game, which I later found out wasn’t the case and apologised completely. At no point even then did I intend to impose my view onto it. I intended to impose Popgoes’ view on it, prior to changing the entire story.

To say I claim the lore to be one way, and that any other way is not as good as my own personal theory is a complete strawman.

Still, that’s just a dump of thoughts on FNaF6, it’s buildup, and that one comment that really got under my skin. With that over, let me move onto the last point here.

My hopes for the future of FNaF

I hope that FNaF’s main story is over, but I don’t wish to see it dead. I would like to see more spinoff games released. I would like to see an honest-to-god tycoon, or a dedicated pixel pokemon spinoff, or something that takes the universe, and puts it into a different format, without being a front for a horror game.

I look forward to the movie, but I’m worried about it a bit. I don’t feel, if the Fright Dome event is to be taken into account for the movie quality, I would worry. I was not impressed by the similarities, particularly the on-stage animatronics. The eyes and the black strips are odd. They’d not look good for the movie. I felt the BTS animatronics were more accurate. It’s mostly the eyes, I think. Far too small. Very beady. If the movie can make more true-to-game animatronics, and shell out a bit more for props, I feel those worries should be easy to wash away.

I look forward to the conclusion to the trilogy of books. I am curious how the focus of the main character will shift. My inner environment designer is fascinated by the Freddy Fazbear location dictated in the second book, and I’d love to see more of that. some maze of extravagant waterfalls and sprawling layouts and arcade machines. I truly felt the sorta fantastical almost casino feel Scott/Kira put forward.

I’m not too much into the merch myself. if there are further books, I’ll probably keep getting them in paperback. At least, until the point where the brand is sold wholesale, and we get like 50 FNaF books a year.

I worry for the lore consistency in the coming months due to the annuals, guides and glorified activity books. only in the FNaF community have these been taken as literal canon. In no other franchise is an activity book considered proper lore. That concept to me is insanity. I do hope Scott addresses this. Until then, I cannot take them as canon.

Finally, I hope Scott takes a look at the entire series, and thinks, “I should retcon some of these games”. the “SAVE HIM” game is now blatantly wrong, and some more solid hints here and there (resolving SL/FNaF2’s places in the timeline respective of each other, emphasising the difference or similarities between Fredbear and Golden Freddy etc.) would be very useful for us. But by and large, beyond further clarification on the remaining mysteries, I hope FNaF’s main storyline can finally rest.

I see Ultimate Custom Night, and have high hopes for lore within it. But, I won’t be expecting too much. Especially as these are mostly considered non-canon, and I feel Scott has moved on from prior lore, and would not likely return to still unanswered points on the timeline

And, to clarify outstanding mysteries:

• The bite is still a sort of mystery. If it is Mangle as suspected, perhaps a subtle redesigned night 7/Custom night Mangle model would be ideal, as it’s believed the bite occurs between nights 6 and 7
• Clarification on the number of locations (and the specifics of if the FNaF2 location opened twice as I believe I prove here) would be useful.
• The number of dead kids. FNaF1 and 2 seem to conflict. is it 5? 10? 15? more? is Golden Freddy one of the first 5, or unrelated? This is not counting SL, which could expand the count greatly as the process of child murder seems to have been corporatised.
• Why the design change of Purple Guy in FNaF2? Also, who is William, and who is Michael? are any of them the FNaF guards of 1, 2 or 3?
• How are the original 5 kids freed? Happiest Day indicated it’s around FNaF6, but what happened to them between FNaF3’s ending and FNaF6?
• What is the proper order of the locations in the timeline?
• Is Golden Freddy the same as Fredbear?
• What’s the deal with the shadows?
• What’s the deal with the box?

Besides that, if FNaF is off the table, I’d want to see something original from Scott. His new IP. Something else for us to cling to.

What’s Next?

So, the drama post, fundraiser/charity game and FNaF6 reactions aside, I intend to update this site over time. Real life is taking a big load of my time, but I’m trying to press on. Though, truth be told, the biggest time-sink for me has been the game.

See, I’m trying to follow the spirit of the original games, and that includes obtaining the height, weight and stats of all characters. This game will have more characters than Pokemon Crystal in it. that’s more than 251 characters that I need to calculate the height, weight, attack, defence, S.attack, S.defence, speed etc. for! If anyone out there would care to help in regards to weight and height, please, let me know. I want this part of the game to be wrapped up, and I can’t sort out the demo until it is.

Theory Burn seems to have worn off, but it’s still there. It’s still a battle to update this site and find the motivation. But, I hope in the future, this will be less of an issue.

Concerning the Inactivity of the Site

Hello all.

This site has largely been untouched since May, and I wanted to address this quickly.

I was working on something. an actual video to post here. but that’s moving so slowly, it looks like the next game will be out before I can finish it.

Essentially, I am burned out. This lore, this story, it’s just all chaos.

When I founded this website, the goal was to set out the lore. to lay out the lore from facts alone. no personal investment in this theory or that theory. just, plain facts, supporting other facts. a bedrock theory, if you will.

Sister Location – in particular, the Custom Night update – have largely drained my will to update this site in any capacity. To do anything for the site is now exceedingly hard.

This is why the Writer’s Corner came out. to try to keep the site alive at all. but, I was foolish to think this would fix it all. The theorists I have invited have largely not taken up the invite. It took so long, I’m not surprised. Many of them aren’t particularly even theorising anymore.

I just can’t find it in me to be motivated for FNaF anymore. I try, but the story is in tatters in my mind. Not only that, but from the looks of it, Scott wishes to progress the story forward, without elaborating on the past. Nearly no-one cares about Springtrap or Baby. we’re all still hung up on the bite, and which purple guy is who, and the number of victims etc.

Springtrap was wrapped up. his future was nearly irrelevant. Baby/Ennard is a bit of a mystery, but their end was wrapped up. no-one cares what happens to them after escaping into the drain. They could fall out of the plot entirely, and no-one would be devastated. they’re not a loose thread.

At this point, I just can’t place my faith in Scott anymore. initially I was certain he’d clear up the lore. But now, I don’t believe he will. Honestly, without wishing to psycho-analyse too much, his behaviour seems more like someone who’s terrified that if he reveals the slightest solid lore point, the franchise will shutter and he’d experience a mass exodus of fans. Keeping it secret is all that’s holding the fandom together. That’s the only end-point I can possible come to when it comes to the fnaf series. we can count the solved and solid mysteries of the game one one hand, but the unsolved points are not only numerous, but exist throughout the entirety of fnaf’s timeline.

I just do not believe a FNaF 6, no matter how skilled it’s developer, can possibly answer to the number of locations, number of dead kids, the bite perpetrator, the identity of specific purple guys or the unknown history of the puppet, while also juggling whatever twisted circus theme the book is aiming for.

On top of this, there’s the fact that I’ve no doubt he’ll continue to litter the game with points of mystery, adding more to be solved on top of the pile. Further, the latest book is almost a joke, littered with inaccuracies, (misunderstanding the 83 argument, use of “freddybear” repeatedly, the images are just flat-out non canon in most instances etc.)

At this point, I wish he would end the franchise, and move onto a new series for us to get into. but I do not think that’ll happen anytime soon.

I’m hoping to stick to my commitments here, but as my interest in fnaf strains, so too are those projects seeming less likely. The charity arcade, a game for Momerator’s tablets, a full-blown fangame for fnaf, all of those projects are in jeopardy in my head, because I simply can’t pluck the motivation to work on them. I don’t know how I could change this. I’m out of steam here, and I’d love to know how to regain that steam back.

I’ll probably duck my head in now and then, but I don’t feel I can keep myself so invested in the game. it’s more work than fun at this point, and this is a sentiment I find is common in figureheads of this community. Invaderzz has made posts about how he feels the lore is unsolvable, matpat is comparing fnaf to mental torture in some of his recent works, I’ve had some extensive talks with Momerator on this (One if which can be read here), and more from others that elude my memory at this point.

I’m just tired of all of this. I just want this nightmare of a plot to sort itself out, note down the actual plot, then to look forward to the next game. the things being hidden from us are maddeningly small details with big lore consequences. that a game series could go on for 5 games without even revealing the number of murdered kids, or relevant locations etc, is crazy. This is some base stuff, and it’s still up for debate. Right now, fangames like Candys, Popgoes or even Flumptys tell a more complete and coherent story than the source material, which is still in a lore limbo. Even the books tell a more coherent story than the original game. It’s depressing, to say the least.

Still, I don’t know when the next update will come. The last one was 5 months ago. At this rate, it’ll probably be closer to the 6th game’s launch. I’ll hope that it sheds light on my concerns, but at this point, I hold no faith in it having the answers.

As for those projects, I don’t know. I’ve lost all motivation. I think I need to step back, let that motivation build up, then push ahead to finish the site and get those games sorted. All I know is, there’s not going to be a lot happening here.

Oh, also, Happy Halloween! Shout out to all the grim reapers out there. They’re so underused nowadays. The scythe designs out are terrible.

Birthday Announcement!

Hello all! I hope you’re enjoying the Popgoes subsite. There are a few unpolished parts here and there, as well as a mistake or two. But, I feel the site certainly was worth the ~3 cumulative months (with 7 months worth of delays) that’ve been sunk into it! I’m quite happy that everyone’s enjoyed and, and though I didn’t expect it, that there was absolutely no backlash whatsoever.

Today is a very special day for me. I am now 24 years old! Today is my birthday, and this time, I’m determined to make a good announcement post. The last post for the site’s birthday went down like a lead balloon in the end. So I hope this one will pique some interests.

Introducing the…

I’m very excited to announce the FNaFLore Writers Corner!

This is going to be a big boon for theorists and the site. I am going to open the doors of FNaFLore.com to 5 of the top theorists in the community, so they may use the site to post their own articles!

It will be launching with a very curious meta-article from Momerator, and will then be thrown open to the other big theorists in the community! I’ve PMed each theorist I deemed prominent and reasoned enough to make a good addition, and 5 of them have accepted the offer. 1 sadly seems to have left the community, and did not get back to me.

To be fully transparent, here’s what this means for both the community and the site.

For the community, you can expect:

• A single base of quality theories that can be edited, moulded and corrected based on user input.
• The use of embedded images, as well as advanced formatting (headers, dividers, coloured text, tables etc).
• Theories that no longer fall into obscurity, as they do with the Freddit submissions.
• An increase in editorial content on the site, as well as a much wider range of theories.
• A much more vocal and prominent theorist base, at a time where die-hard theorists are a dying breed.

You can expect content in the range of:

• Theory posts (Full and detailed posts regarding the lore rundown of the game).
• Observation posts (Smaller posts that focus on smaller events in the series).
• Discussions (Groups of theorists and friends discussing the lore of the game, bouncing ideas off of each other).
• Meta-theories (Theories on the design of modern animatronics, pizzeria incidents and other IRL comparisons).
• Community-focused articles (Discussion of the fanbase, current events relating to FNaF or talking about fan content. Gotta love that drama).

For us as a website, we hope to:

• Spark more actual conversations on the lore.
• Keep the site more updated on a content basis, by way of theorist articles.
• Increase our popularity and relevance within the community.
• Engage with the community more for feedback and lore ideas.
• Though exceedingly unlikely, try to find the actual lore of the game.

These articles will be grouped to their respective categories on a brand new community page. We’ll also be trying to promote the use of the FNaFLore Discord and Forums.

We’re very excited at the future prospects of the site’s growth, and we will be happy to welcome these users on board. I’ve given them free-reign. So long as there’s no illegal or hateful content, go wild. I do not know if the specific range of contents described in 2nd list will all be reached. Some parts may need re-jigging. But I am very happy to announce this new program.

The section has not got a set release date, but I’m almost certain the technical issues can be ironed out in the next few weeks. Then it’s a matter of teaching the theorists how to navigate the site and use the editor. I’d hope to get the first post sorted within the month, but it may take a bit longer.

I hope you all have a very good day! I’m certainly hoping mine will go well. I’m expecting a nice Profiterole Gateau as my cake this year, so I’m hoping it’s gonna be a good birthday! The only disappointment is that White Malteasers are still not a thing anymore. Such is life.
If you’d like to give me a present of any sort, perhaps pester them a little to get those sweet snowball bites back on the shelves. Lets see if we can use the FNaF community-mob powers for good.

People who post theories regularly, stir debate, write with exceptional command of the English language and are the last few people who are still interested in solving the lore.
