Hello all.
I know you’re expecting Popgoes, and I’ve been working on it. But, for the last week or so, I’ve had to put it to the side. But it will be out within the next 2 weeks, I’m certain.
No, there’s been something else much bigger, more serious and sensitive. I’m trying to handle it with care right now.
Two weeks ago, I was contacted by a well known hacker/decompiler of the community. To protect their identity, I won’t be naming them.
They spoke about a hack that occured way back in 2012, that affected the site Dropbox.com. It was a very big deal, and affected millions of customers worldwide.
Through a network of their acquaintances, they found someone who had taken advantage of the space of time between the hacked accounts being sold off through the black market, to when Dropbox forced people to reset their passwords in late 2016. It would appear Scott had an account on there, and in that account were a small trove of files, including the full lore outline for FNaF:SL (which lines up perfectly with Custom Night’s lore), the third book’s synopsis, source model files for FNaF 1, 2 and 4 (missing 3, SL and FNaFWorld) and also a line of toys created by “Just Play”, including “pull apart” and “talking” features.
But some of the more important things were the lore outlines of the Box, the Fredbear plush, an extensive timeline of the Golden/Shadow Freddy/Bonnie characters and the amount of children killed (Including those not yet seen in the franchise).
There is more content I could tell you, but to post that here would ruin the upcoming games and books. So for the most part, I’m holding back a lot of it. I’ve checked with someone who works in law who’s grown close to the site in recent years, and it is legal to post this sort of content. But I am holding back, so I don’t ruin the future instalments of the franchise’s many media branches. It’s not my intention to ruin the games for the fanbase. But, it is my duty to try to solve this lore. A lore that’s taken 2 years, and in which we don’t even know how many kids were killed or who did the bite.
I do plan to let some of this information out. I’ve been working hard to parse the timeline with this new information, and am releasing an article on the box, which I’ll be posting this coming Saturday. The contents of this elusive box should finally be solved for everyone, and hopefully, finally fill out a few of the litany of unanswered questions Scott has left for us to fight over.
I made an old page for this a while back as a joke, but I guess I’ll be using it seriously this time. To talk about this, please feel free to join our Discord Server, or view the Twitter feed of this upcoming event via the #FNaFBoxWatch page.
Kizzycocoa – Owner and designer of FNaFLore.com
Hello all.
I’ve taken a break from Popgoes the last few days to write this article. Today, the 14th of March, is a very special day. It’s the day I got kicked from the official Freddit Skype chat for trying to tell people, hey, lets not call people we dislike paedophiles.
I’ll get on to the exact situation in a bit, but it’s worth noting, the Freddit team were not responsible for that situation. One of the issues I’ve outlined below is the main fault. the administration was constantly shifting hands in turmoil. Therefore, they had no hand in that situation.
This article itself was meant to be a proper guide, but it went a bit freeform. It’s not quite as editorial-esque as I like, but I need to get off this topic onto the Popgoes stuff. I need that done. So, this is what I’m putting out. It should suffice. Also as a note, I tend to use the terms “Admin” and “Moderator” interchangeably. They’re not accurate terms to the people I label them to, half the time. But, they hold the roughly same amount of power.
Still, to commemorate this, I’ve decided to write this article. I’m writing this mostly as I’m tired with how the community at large acts when given authoritative power. So many communities have fallen due to poor admin skills, and so many revolts have been staged. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I’ve seen mistakes across the board for FNaF admins, through all communities I’ve seen. I’ve seen it on Steam, I’ve seen it on Discord, I’ve seen it on Reddit and various other fansites for FNaF.
This should not be a surprise to anyone. Most of the FNaF community is young, and most admins are not even over the age of 18. You would expect them to fuck up. However, FNaF is a tightly knit community, with its central congregations spanning a select few websites. With so few sites, and so many under-18’s, the entire situation is a recipe for disaster, which we have experienced multiple times. Hopefully, through this post, some of those mistakes will be corrected and avoided.
I want to state, this is not a dig to any particular group. I’m purposefully keeping nearly all identifiable information out of the limelight. This is a very frustrated veteran of administrative work seeing the repeated mistakes, and just wanting them to stop. Administrating users is not hard. It’s actually quite easy. This shouldn’t be that hard. But before I start, let me get the big question out of the way.
I am Kizzycocoa, and my past experience has spanned numerous forums and wikis. My least known position comes from the myAPERTURElabs forums, which was one of the two largest Portal communities, and is sadly now defunct. However, I am much more well known by my Minecraft Wiki position, in which I helped to keep the Minecraft Wiki moderated. I have had a few years of experience from the forums, and literal years of experience with the wiki.
When at the wiki, I was helped by a lovely woman called Wynthyst. She sadly passed away, but she taught me a hell of a lot on how to run a community. She was employed by Curse, and had started and helped to maintain countless communities in her tenure. The wiki wouldn’t have looked the same without her.
That is who I am. A former admin for one of the two biggest Portal communities, As well as a former admin of the Minecraft Wiki, of which I’m still listed as an admin in the event of an emergency. I also have had professional help and guidance by someone who’s literal job was to create and maintain communities for a living.
Basically, I know how to be an admin to a pretty high industry standard. So, let me begin.
There are a few guidelines I’d like to shoot out there first. These are guidelines I followed to a T, and still do follow, which has led to a thriving Discord community.
A simple, easy list. All of these points should be no-brainers. I would seriously question the credibility of any mod who would disagree on any of these points. Sadly, in the FNaF community, these values are rarely help up in their entirety.
This brings me to the more meatier part of my article. I am going to go through various offenses in the community, and without naming names, analyse the problems these actions will cause. Some of these will outline the basics I covered above. Some of these will cover new topics. All of these scenarios are true, and I have the screenshots for them. From request from some concerned parties, I have decided to transcribe nearly all of the screenshots, rather than show them.
This can lead no-where good. Above all else, don’t give them your account in exchange for security. It will not go well. You cannot run a community by caving in to hacker’s demands.
Further, there is NO GUARANTEE they will stick to their word. These people are out to cause chaos. They don’t give a shit about any deals.
Instead, here’s what you do. Firstly, secure yourself. Change your password to your account, and the email account it is tied to. Then, change passwords to your financial accounts, just in case. Paypal and the like.
From there, release news to your community that this person exists, the mods are prepared for them, and details on how they can be prepared. From that point, suppress any and all details of the hacker’s actions. Some hackers feed off of hearing their victims complain online, or by watching the panic spread through the community. By cutting that off, you cut off the purpose for the hacking. Set up a direct email link to users so they can alert the admins themselves, if that will help ease your community’s minds. A sort of “hotline” for users to report their own accounts being hacked. Note that these messages may not come from the users they claim to be, so keep an eye on their accounts without banning them instantly.
At that point, you will have a secure account with a community that is more knowledgable on the dangers that are developing, and a central intelligence pipeline that works within the moderation team, not out in the public for everyone’s enjoyment.
I’ll let you in on a secret, and be prepared to let your jaw hit the floor with disbelief. since opening this site, there have been over 1365 attempted break-ins recorded by my security software. These are from hackers who do not announce their hacks to their victims. people who try to sabotage websites without the grandstanding. I get emails every month, detailing the amount of attacks the site has withstood.
Hacking happens. you just need to get the right safeguards to prevent it from happening. Any words from blackmailing hackers are nearly worthless. Be thankful the moron decided to announce his hacking, and protect yourself.
The above happened. It literally happened. An admin, utilising a bot, searched for child porn.
The admin, instead of apologising, doubled down.
I mean, do I really need to explain more here? This is the realm of common sense. For fuck’s sake, do not look up the exact phrase “Child Porn” in any capacity, let alone as a figurehead of your community, and WITHIN the community chat. These are the most fundamental basics. How can you possibly fuck up on this scale?
And to try to JUSTIFY this. Just, fuck no. The fuck are you thinking.
It is always a sad time when a user leaves your community. It is one less voice in this group of shared interests. What you absolutely should not do is celebrate that event, particularly when the person in question has helped your community grow for a long time.
These messages are hard to decipher without the screenshots. Allow me to contextualise this. This is about Users 1-3 leaving/getting banned from a server after a moderator came into power who many rejected. This led to the downfall of the server, ultimately. In fact, many flooded from that server into ours.
Users 1 and 2 are known to talk more than bluntly in the community. Their actions do not deserve permanent bans. But that is besides the point to be made. The moderators and founders clearly showed that they did not care these people left/were banned. That it was a good thing that they were gone.
No explicit rules were violated, and yet they were forced out of that community. Not only that, but the newly elected moderator in question was the same person who searched for CP with the bot in the previous point. That however was a few weeks after this incident. Nevertheless, this user had a bad reputation prior to this event, and many of the chat rejected him based on his past.
I do not feel they should have been excluded from the chat, but I make no official judgement call there. What I do condemn is the appearance that they are celebrating these people leaving.
Shortly after they left, the new moderator (who would in time go on to cause the CP incident) posted this message
Sadly, I cannot hide the identity here. This was aimed at a user called Kane. They took his name, and made a VERY offensive joke out of it. The fact a moderator can post something like that without so much as being talked to by those above him is ridiculous.
We’re lucky to have this information too. Shortly after this incident happened, we tried to get screenshots of it. However, the people in charge refused point-blank to let an innocent user into their channel, on the basis of the plans to screenshot this information. They knew what he was going in for, so instead of judging them based on their personal merits and track record, they refused him access.
The term “nothing to hide, nothing to fear” comes into play here. If you lock up your chat because you feel someone will be able to make you look bad, chances are, you’re not doing a good job of being in a place of authority. This ultimately caused this article to be put into motion.
We all know what this is about, so I’ll try to make this as impersonal as I can.
When you stick your head in the sand and pretend the community does not want you in your position of absolute power, you only build up the inevitable. To ignore the community is a massive mistake, and will build community resentment.
Instead, confront the community. Ask what you can do for the community. Ask what they feel the issues are, and how you can make good on their issues.
The above is a personal message between an admin and a user. As a small point of behaviour, you probably shouldn’t aim to break up the relationships of users in the communities. That is stupefying, that you would take pleasure in helping to dismantle someone’s life. That is not mod-material.
The user in question was someone who had caused some drama, but did that require this person to maliciously break up their relationship? It may be just me, but I’d suggest that no-one should break people up over how they feel about them, or any drama surrounding them.
This is linked to the previous issue, and was brought to my attention after this article was posed. I’ve added it for neutrality, and to expand on the point.
The victim of the previous incident went on to honeytrap the admin by taking their friend and forging a fake relationship with the admin and their friend. It covers the exact same point as the previous one, with the added point of “you should rise above petty revenge”.
Two weeks later:
It appears that both users in the previous were admins, so this shows a clear lack of unity in the team. But overall, a moderator should rise above this nonsense. If you have an issue with a co-worker, you report it to a higher authority to deal with. These users should have let someone higher-up sort this out, rather than fuck with each other’s personal lives. If the users are higher authorities, just leave. save everyone the hassle, including yourself.
Both of these admins were in the wrong. Both the one who split them up, and the one who was split up who then sought revenge by catfishing the first admin, essentially.
I won’t make a judgement on who was morally superior – that is not this article’s intention. But I will point out the obvious. Both of these acts are repulsive, and a proper moderator would never take part in either splitting people up on purpose, or trying to catfish them with your best friend, yanking them away when they get closer.
This has happened a few times, and while I cannot pinpoint the direct involvement, this invading/witchhunting happened every few weeks. People latch onto a person and hunt them down, simply because they don’t like them. Not due to corruption of their power, or them not doing their jobs for the community, but just random witchhunts on youtubers and invasions of other communities and chats.
At one point, an admin raided a youtuber’s stream, repeating the phrase “SQUIDWARD ON A CHAIR”, spamming up the chat. Later, they said “<STREAMER> kill yourself live on twitch”.
When a mod does this, you’re publicly smashing your own credibility as an admin. TO tell someone to kill themselves is not something an admin should do, particularly to a streamer whom it’s presumed you do not know well enough to contextualise that as an in-joke.
One of my acquaintances were banned from a FNaF community about half a year ago, or thereabouts. They were banned with evidence from one side that was easily refuted.
Basically, this person was being blackmailed. They had threats that their work would be released to the public, well before the intended time. So, they gathered their friends and got details as to where this person lived, then confronted him. They locked both of them into a strange ying-yang of blackmail. If the work was released, then the police would get called to the blackmailer’s house, which would be fairly awkward for the blackmailer and their parents.
This story was presented to a moderator, who banned the user outright. They did not talk to them or walk through the ban. After I got involved, having known of this deadlock, I asked if the accuser was the blackmailer. Turns out it was, alongside 2 of their friends. His story seemed to be the most credible, while the friends naturally seem to have made all of their shit up.
A user should always be aware of why they were banned. A moderator should always seek all sides before banning.
That was bad enough, but so blindsighted were these moderators, they had planned to ban any talk of this user or their work in their community, a feat that’d be impossible and stupefying. I hear they dropped it soon after its discussion, but the mere thought of trying to ban anyone from talking about a person’s work is ridiculous.
You are not kings. You are not part of a special group that makes you more important than any of your users. You are a servant. You need to recognise you are serving the community. You are not above the community.
This is so important, and something that every good admin MUST recognise. You are not above the community. You are serving it. Being an admin is a duty to protect and cater to the community, holding the power in a central trusted body to ensure anarchy does not ensue. It is not a treehouse group for you to brag over, it is not a status symbol and it is not a pawn to be used to one-up another member of the community.
People look up to you. People have you in that position of power and congregate to your community because they trust your judgement. Do not let this get to your head. There’s nothing positive down that road.
The moment you stop working as a team, you’re not able to moderate properly. If you keep undermining each other, you will lose credibility for the entire chat.
The truth will out, always. Trying to be shady behind the velvet curtain will not go unnoticed. Every unjustified ban, every ignored digression, every unexplained drama will mount up higher and higher, until the entire house of cards comes crashing down on you.
You need to be open and honest. You need to view the position in the same was as the president of a country. If you start doing shady stuff out of view of the community, it will catch up to you. People will notice and leak your actions to the general public. However, if you’re honest and work to help the users, you will go a long way on that alone.
This one is too specific, I can’t get into it without exposing the community I’m referring to, so I have to do so. I’ve heard literal nightmares from the official Freddit Minecraft server of moderators destroying people’s buildings and banning people for little-no reason. Don’t do this, just let people build. Don’t destroy it all like an absolute asshole.
It’s not even just one user who’s come to me, expecting me to do a full article. It’s many, many users. Seriously, sort it out.
I have been informed that while there were issues in the past, these issues have been fixed. The advice and issues still stand, but the minecraft community appears to have improved drastically since the stories I’ve heard. Please, feel free to contact me confirming or denying these changes, which seem to have occured within the last few months.
There are many things that have brought about this article. the primary firestarter were the events detailed in “Do not celebrate users leaving your community” event due to their refusal to let someone into the community to see the messages. That made me determined to document it. But I’ll talk about one event in particular. the one that started a year ago today. One I will recite fully. I’ve provided the sole screenshot to the right of this text, along with just 1 person uncensored
I cannot tell you how hard it is to resist putting this one up without censors.
A year ago, the official Freddit Skype chat was taken over. The owner, was kicked from his position somehow, leading to someone else taking the reins.
Following an incident earlier that week, a modeller in the community grew fearful of a known personality in the community. This fear was unfounded, involving doxxing threats. It is very likely they were goaded into this fear by the blackmailer themself.
The chat then kicked a known personality, and invited the blackmailer into the chat. There was havoc. The Freddit admins who were in the group had no power. This is why you should ALWAYS ensure you own the chats you run, because this can happen. The owner was trusted, but somehow dethroned. Then this shitshow happened. No Freddit mod could keep order in the chat, as it was hijacked.
The story is, after kicking out this personality, the blackmailer and their friends wrote blogs, detailing this personality to be a paedophile. A vile accusation, that can rarely be beaten. To call someone a paedophile is to risk painting them with that slander permanently, regardless of if it is wrong.
Naturally, this was only due to this person’s hatred of this personality, as well as their friends.
I fought back these accusations. They were completely unfounded, so I tried to reason with the people involved. As you can clearly see, this did not work.
I was kicked from the official Freddit Skype chat. I was kicked from the chat for trying to stop others slandering a perfectly innocent person.
The fact the mods had no control over this only went to paint an embarrassing picture of this situation. They could not control their own community. All their control was taken away. In the Skype chat, they failed as moderators to keep the peace, completely and utterly.
But, I leave Springweb’s name uncensored not to paint him in a bad light, but as a thanks to him. He tried to stop it, and to that, I have to give props to him, even if he did not have the tools. He tried. Granted, he could have intended to ban me if he could, and then we’d have a whole other section. But he tried to take control, and you have to respect him for that.
By this time, the original modeller at the beginning of this had wanted it all to stop, and was shunned by the people who white-knighted him so badly, so far to try to ruin this personality’s life.
In response to the blogs and the kick, I wrote a much, much more in-depth article over the situation. The first one on this site, to be precise. I plastered it to the site, and I spread it where I could.
After this, I found out many high-profile users were involved in a plot to take down the previous site of this personality, to replace it with jumpscares or porn. Then finally, a still-prominent figure in the community suggested the foulest of things. A picture of a real ISIS victim being beheaded, with this personality’s face over the top of this victim. The quote was “replace the site with an isis beheading with <USER>’s face on it. I’ll make the picture now. send me a picture of <USER>’s face?”.
The bare-faced disrespect of these people to the dead was sickening. To even consider something as low as an ISIS beheading is inexcusable.
Not only that, but they planned to do this on a site that has a mostly underage audience.
I called them the fuck out on this. Put the skype logs out for all to see. Everyone could see what they had schemed for the site.
Then, these cowards suddenly got scared. The community could find them out. Their reputations, destroyed by their childish behaviour. A part of me wants to see that fear realised still. One of these people are still quite well known in the community. The one who suggested the beheading idea.
They basically demanded it be taken down. I obliged, on one condition. They were to take down their blogs. All but one took their blogs down, the last having deactivated their account a month or so after. With ~3/4 of the blogs down, I hid my article behind a password-protected wall, to ensure I could bring it to public if they broke their end of the bargain. This then launched my wandering into writing editorial-style content about the community, to shed light on the worse side of the community. Shining a light on that behaviour is the best disinfectant.
That is what originally started all of this off. I’d like to thank anyone who’s still reading. Please, click on the image to the right to see the full conversation of the chat. I’d like to thank my fellow moderator Kenan for helping to stitch this together. This is what happens when safeguards are not taken, and when you have a rogue moderator. I was nothing but fair and civil, and was kicked for no reason. If you do this as a bad moderator, it can come back to haunt you. This event, if uncensored, could have haunted many people.
This article is not for general people to view, but anyone can view it. I’ve set the redirect protection on this, and put it to the opinion blog. it will have exceedingly low exposure. This article primarily aims to try to put my lessons, and the failure of others, into the heads of current admins. Dont follow the mistakes of the past. Read them. Know why they are bad. Learn from them and apply them to your own experience. You’ll find the community you build to be a much, much nicer one in the end.
Thank you all for taking the time to read however much of this article you read in the end. Popgoes is still coming soon. almost done now.
As a final note, I’d like to state, I feel the Freddit team have done an amazing job in their hirings and overall work. I sincerely hope they keep up the good work I’ve seen so far, and keep working as a team. If any of them want help, I’d be happy to give it to them any time. But this is not a dig to them, or to some other communities I have referenced. This is purely a disclaimer. An attempt to instill a level of common sense to the moderation of this community.
Happy moderating. Please, read those quotes and guidelines, and know that they will help you to build a happy community. If you ignore them, like many of the communities mentioned, yours is likely to fold.

I know, I know, I know.
I’ve tried so hard to get the Popgoes page up, and were I to have free control over my own schedule, I would have it up by now.
Popgoes is still not up, despite initial planning for late December.
There are a litany of reasons, not least including work as a real web designer, frustration at the FFaFL cancelled event and general apathy over lore burn and the realisation that most of the base questions of the game are impossible to answer at this point.
I’m trying hard to get it to you. I have literally 6 pages left of vital content. the Timeline, both maps, the characters and full audio logs of the in-game calls and the dev log.
Right now, I’m having to go through, at a snail’s pace, the entire Popgoes Developer Log video. half an hour of Popgoes at 0.5x speed, frequently rewinding to account for stutters and how the words sorta meld together.
I’m taking this pain so no-one else dare need to. I did so with ONaF, I can do so here too.
Then we have the developer side of the map, in which I need to grab the original story and also add the last few folders of resources to the mix.
I can only hope to post it soon. I don’t know how much more I can promise, to the point where I just won’t. it’ll be done when it’s done, and it’s relying on 6 official pages and a small organisation of assets on my end. It’s so, so close.
I’m sorry. It is coming out, just bear with me.

Hello all
Firstly, yes, Popgoes is coming. I don’t want to keep delaying the launch, so I’m aiming to get it sorted by the end of the month. After all these delays and cancellations and months of planning down the drain, I want just one thing to go up in a reasonable time. So, I’m trying very, very hard to get it up by the end of the month.
Secondly, and the reason I’m posting, is that I recently migrated the entire site to HTTPS. This means the forums and contact forms are now much, much safer! We now have a nice green HTTPS lock in the URL bar, and I’m happy to have it!
I’d like to ask the fanbase to report any pages that have an alert of an insecure connection, or anything other than a green lock, to the site’s Contact Page. Please provide a URL to the page that caused the issue!
Thanks again for your patience and help. Hopefully 2017 will be a much better year for the site!

Hello all.
I feel I need to answer in depth and fully for what happened last Saturday.
Last Saturday, we had the Five Frights at FNaFLore event scheduled. It was an ingenious concept with a great plot. But it fell apart a week prior, and last Saturday, disintegrated completely.
I’m going to first address the premise of the event, the main issues with the first delay, then the cancellation, then future content to celebrate future landmarks.
the event was going to be simple and brilliant.
I would be dressed as the FNaFLore Fleshmonger – the character seen on the site during Halloween. I would be playing a game in which I was to hunt and kill the Freddit admins.
This is especially brilliant as it played into the whole FNaFLore&Community vs Basetown&Freddit moderators incident we had a while back, causing a leadership shuffle and the appointment of some of the best mods we’ve seen for Freddit in months.
From that, people presume that our two sites hate each other. This is actually not the case. I’ve only gone against them when the community has voiced their concerns, which have gone unanswered. I worked with Invaderzz to help deal with the MemeMachine hack, in which I helped him shut down the subreddit temporarily. I showed him how to do so, and offered my help, temporarily postponing the article I was writing.
During future bouts of attacks, I’ve also offered them my LeakedSource account I’ve purchased for that specific hack, to ensure I don’t get hacked. I did this so their community didn’t get torn down by an insecure admin account.
I’ve worked with them, and I harbour no grudges. Listen to the community, and you’re fine by me. Even if it’s something I disagree with, I only want the community to be heard, not ignored. It’s my pet peeve of moderation – something I’ll talk about later.
Point is, I’ve actively worked with, and keep constant contact with, the Freddit moderation team. They’re doing a fine job, and here’s hoping this year, the subreddit gets even more changes and events to satiate the sadly declining fanbase.
But back to the point, it played off well. I was proud of the concept.
The rough plan was this. I am notoriously camera shy, unless I wear a costume of sorts. So, I dreamed up this Fleshmonger character, had a good friend help me make the fur mask and arms, and invested in trying to get a rudimentary lighting rig set up to imitate the swirling in the main visor.
I would then, dressed as the FNaFLore Fleshmonger, systematically try to kill the moderators in a series of games of Dead by Daylight, as they worked in a team to outwit and evade me.
There was a threadbare plot. In essence, this cursed cube, an actual prop I have from my old deceased chinchilla, Kizzy, was actually a cursed object, and that touching it put you under the influence of this Eldritch demon, like the Idol from The Chzo Mythos. The lore was sort of a loveletter to that game, which doesn’t receive nearly as much attention as it should, despite it being an old game. As time went on, sadly, this lore got less and less relevant.
The opening would have been the Fleshmonger jolting to life, the lights in the visor turning on and flickering between red and green as they swirled.
Then the games would begin. I would hunt the players, they would evade. For every $500, I would add a perk, add on or offering. These would up the difficulty of the game for the mod team. That also sadly fell through, as the devs never got back to me over helping me.
Audio wise, I despise my voice. Not quite as much as my appearance, but still, it’s bad. I’ve been told I sound a lot like Afton, or some 40 year old English uncle.
I’m just 23. It is not a compliment to sound like a fictional child killer.
The plan was, just make killer noises. Deep laughs, growls, snarls, perhaps the occasional whisper of “help me”, to indicate the Fleshmonger character is still conscious of what is happening around them, much like the Headcrab Zombies of Half Life, who plead for help in their screams.
In the event Scott had even donated – something I was not sure would happen, given our history – I tried to set up some form of specific recognition. I retrieved a Halloween prop from our loft. A severed foot. I put it and a Fredbear toy into a bin bag filled with old duvets that was to be next to me, which would be pierced by the machete weapon of the Fleshmonger. The basic idea being, it is implied that the bag holds a body inside it.
Had he joined in with the event or donated, I was to go into the bag, toss the Fredbear plush across the room, and grab the severed foot lying at the top. I would have then used the exposed ankle-bone end to smear a red smile across the welding mask, with a discrete crayon I had attached to the foot as a crude and similar colour to blood. I would have been genuinely happy if Scott had enjoyed the stream’ and while I could not talk, I hoped that action would at least convey that I was happy he was enjoying the event. I don’t wish any harm on the man, far from it. I would have just been happy that I could have entertained him. Besides any past critique or concerns, I genuinely do hope he goes far, and still look forward to future games.
Towards the middle, there was a break. The break video was probably the most professional thing I have probably ever done for the site. It came out really well. For posterity, here is the near-final version of the break video I had planned. I realised I had forgotten the music behind it, and sadly, DAGames didn’t get back to me there either. If I had proper contact with him, I’d have asked for permission to use/loop his song “Unfixable” – a song that does co-inside with the character a bit.
The preview above uses the “Unfixable” instrumental from Prince Ghast’s video, which features a slightly edited version of Juicestain’s Recreation. Of course, both of these are fan-made instrumentals of DAGames’ “Unfixable” music video.
Once the break was over, I would go back at it. After 3 more hours, we would hit the end of the stream. The end, I planned, would have an unknown force break into the room. The Fleshmonger would try to confront it, but is repelled by the attacker, smashing into the sofa he was just sat at playing. In a renewed bout of strength, the Fleshmonger would lunge again.
The scene would have ended with the camera suddenly being knocked over, and on the ground. The door behind me would be open, and through some editing, would have an unannounced character there. The Fleshmonger would be seen on the floor, crawling and grasping for the cursed cube, the source of his power. This unannounced entity would retrieve the cube, whic in doing so, would cause a flash of light, and the fleshmonger’s body would be human again, in the same position as where he had grasped for the cube.
The entity would have pondered over the cube, until noticing the camera. At which point, he would have ordered the attacker to destroy the camera. the attacker would pick up the camera in a jumpscare fashion, the camera would glitch, and it would cut/fade to static.
That would have marked the end of the event, and I would have written a summary post over how it went well, and what were the challenges. That was the basic guideline I had in mind.
This event was going to happen. I had every intent to go forward with it. But the combination of guest issues, production issues and the logistics of streaming made the event so unworkable, it was for the best to cancel it, and replan a charity push for the next time.
The first delay was down to issues getting guests, issues with the costume and issues with organisation. None of us had prepared to actually play the game, let alone stream it.
The first go would have had Momerator and Invaderzz, but he could only be there half the time. Invaderzz somehow reached out to Dawko, who said he could pitch in an hour.
The other moderators were either unable to run the game, unable to attend or didn’t feel comfortable to join in.
In essence’ we had 1 2/3 of the survivors we would need to play a game in the first run. Just on that, we had to cancel.
However, on costume, I also had issues. I could not show my face due to my camera shyness, so that was a necessity. The mask had come, but it was not sewn correctly. The front part of the face was tiny dute to a miscommunication issue. This meant I could not put it on, and worse, I could not breathe in it.
Further, the electronics in the mask were failing. We just couldn’t get the lights to react to the dimmer and colour switcher we attached it to.
On top of that, as these had both not been ready, I couldn’t pre-film the intro and outro to my stream. That was essential to ensuring any plot was even remotely in place. Due to the terrible timing of all of this, we delayed it by a week. I renewed efforts to fix the welding mask, and sent the chinchilla head back to the friend who had designed it for me.
The second time around was not much better. Further issues occurred in getting guests, issues persisted with the costume, and organisation was perhaps even worse.
The second go, we had Momerator and Invaderzz. However, Momerator’s PC had blown up on the day. In her attempts to fix it, she had thrown together a backup rig from spare parts. This rig also failed, meaning it would take 3 hours to begin streaming – halfway through the event. Invaderzz had to go away for a bit, but then returned. He was prepared in the end. We had again invited Dawko, who I heard had accepted. However, we had no significant contact to him just 20 minutes from the event, beyond our link with Invaderzz. On top of that, we had no fourth guest accepted, even if we did go ahead. The game would be lacking a player.
Meanwhile, I was panicking just as much. I had sent and re-received the costume, but there had been significant delays, which had led to a severely limited pre-filming time. I only received the headpiece the day before the event, and even then, I could not film, as there were flaws to do with my ability to breathe, which led to me having to cut out the face of the mask. I was recording the intro and outro scenes just 1 1/2 hours from launch, trying to get it sorted. To add to the issues, the hands were unable to grip anything whatsoever, meaning that I was unable to do the most basic of actions on the keyboard.
The videos were not of a professional standard. It seems they were recorded at 640px, and the “acting” was atrocious. I could never publish them. Further, the lighting was too bright, and did not reflect the vibe of the sinister empty room I was filming in. To add, the organisation of the web page was not complete, and nor was the integration with Tiltify.
Just after the issues, Invaderzz was unavailable. This meant that, just a half hour into the stream, we’d possibly only be down to 2 people. Myself and Dawko. If we were even lucky enough to get to that point, which we weren’t. At that point, this wouldn’t have even been a Freddit vs FNaFLore event in any aspect, as all the moderators were gone.
Not that I wish to snub Dawko. I’ve always viewed him as a great guy. I hear he was frustrated at the cancellation, and I can only apologise. I also know he is going through a difficult time right after the stream, to which I can only wish him the best, and offer to talk at any point. I fully understand his situation, and have been through it myself.
In any case, the event simply could not work at the end of it all. It could perhaps have been a gameplay-only event, but even then, that likely would just be boring to viewers. Far less exciting than enticing a perceived rivalry between myself and Freddit. Plus, with Invaderzz and Momerator gone, it’d not have enough players to get off the ground in time, or to even last for 6 hours.
Momerator tried to get something else in place, which I want to give her credit for. She tried to get some sort of game stream in place for FNaFLore. But at that point, frankly, it was too late. Particularly for morale. I felt like I was hit by a truck, and was bleeding out on the sidewalk. At that point, you don’t want to do much, other than curl up and recover best you can. You don’t even think about how could you cobble together something to replace it. I failed, end of story. I can only try to shake it off, and plan for the next big thing.
Despite the other factors, I take this failing on my own shoulders. I should have prepared backups and safety nets, just in case. Every issue that came up, I should have prepared for. I take full responsibility for this event bombing as badly as it did.
It’s patently clear that livestreams for FNaFLore will not happen. Not now, and probably not ever. At least, not from me.
But, I still want to do something to celebrate the birthday and milestones of the site, while hoping the work gone into it entices people to donate to a worthy and humble cause.
That’s why I have a backup plan up my sleeve. Something I know I can deliver on. Over the last year, I have been experimenting with PHP and Javascript programming. I’ve actually created a full faithful recreation of the FNaF1 camera system, with adjustable AI. I had planned to put it on the site as a sort of camera simulation, as if you had hacked into the Fazbear security and could view the camera system. But, I do not know if that would be legally sound. It was up briefly, but that page was taken down some time ago. I will need to ask Scott about that at some point. I fear he will not wish to have a full simulation of the FNaF camera systems (minus the actual gameplay) up on the site. That could be a tad too far. I’m going to do the fangame versions first before returning to FNaF’s systems.
Non-the-less, I’ve been working on games for the site. Just a side project.
But, with the failure of this stream, I’ve thought about it. I feel I could try to turn those games into something more.
I will not announce any details, but the entire community feature of the site is getting overhauled. I plan to involve many more people with this site. This could range from text stories, fan theories (potentially analysis of them for plotholes, too) and more.
One of the community features is the Arcade, which will feature a variety of web-based games. Upon thought, perhaps, I should have each game sponsor a different charity. The FNaFLore Charity Arcade. That seems much more doable, and much more exciting than seeing a silly fool bumble around on camera. I like the idea of a FNaFLore Charity Arcade.
They didn’t get a mention as the event didn’t go ahead, but I feel I would like to thank several people who truly tried to make the event work.
I’d like to thank my FNaFLore Discord Moderators for their help. Kenan, JuniorGenius, Momerator, Retroity and Wholigan. They were going to moderate the chat, and resize/update the fanart and top 5 donor list.
For the participants, I’d like to thank the Freddit moderator team for their willingness to take part, as well as Dawko, who was going to jump in as well. Also Wholigan, who I believe was going to join us
For artwork, I’d like to thank F-N-A-F-G-Y-F-R, for the moderator sprites and for the Fleshmonger art. I’d also, naturally, like to thank Scott Cawthon for the FNaF sprites that would be used in the break video.
For the costume, I’d like to thank Lousedog who did create the entire mask. They put their heart and soul into making it, and I’d like to thank them for getting it sorted. Their DeviantArt is Here! They also created this lovely piece of fan art.
For the mask electronics, I’d like to thank /r/diyelectronics and /r/arduino.
Specifically:
For audio and video resources, I’d like to thank Kenan, footageisland and Freesound.org.
For the theme of the event, I’d like to once again thank Yahtzee Croshaw, specifically shouting out his Chzo Mythos series of games! They’re a great little series, and I still highly recommend them.
Finally, of course, I’d like to thank the community for their patience, and once again, apologise. I let you all down here. We had since October to make this work, and it couldn’t get sorted on time.
I’m sorry, and I will not be pursuing this sort of event again. It’s clear it’s not going to happen. I will keep the Fleshmonger on hand, though. Perhaps I can still wrangle something from that character’s dissecting corpse. Perhaps use him in the arcade, in any meta games I develop
Expect the Popgoes subsite soon, though! That’s next on the list.

Hello all!
I’m pleased to announce that on the 24th, the site reached it’s first birthday! From that time, we’ve become one of the leading resource hubs for the FNaF community. We’ve not quite helped to make people change how they approach lore building, but we’re getting to a point where we’re able to do so ourselves!
To celebrate the birthday of the site, we’re running a charity livestream for Save the Children! I’ll be playing against the kind people from the Freddit subreddit, as well as a few guest streamers!
The event will take place on the 4th of February. The time on the site should correlate to the correct time for you, but in case it does not, a GMT time is also alongside it!
I hope the event will go down well. I’ve managed to sidestep the specific issue I’ve had with streaming, but it’ll still be experimental. We’ll have to see how the community will take it! Please, do forward any feedback to us via the contact form!
We’ll soon be rolling out the proper pages you can view the event from. We hope everyone enjoys the show!

Hello all!
So, there’s a function in WordPress that makes it so, between text, it adds <p> tags. This is very useful for keeping things neat and tidy on the site!
However, for pages where I need to do more codey stuff (see the map toggles in Maps, or the Sister Location audio transcripts), this has hit breaking point. I’ve had to fix this function as it’s breaking the layout of my site – mostly for the Popgoes pages and the Games pages, which are hopefully coming soon.
I tried to do this before, but the discussions broke, and it was more hassle than not to un-break them. But, I need to now.
I’d like to ask the community to please be on the lookout for issues on this site RE it’s layout. If there is an issue, please use our Contact Page to alert us, so we can fix the issue!
Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Happy new year everyone!
2016 has been a fantastic year. It’s had it’s ups, and it’s downs, but overall, it was a very good year for the site! it hurts
The Popgoes section is going to be going up in the next few weeks, and I’m really excited to show you all it hurts what kind of stuff I’ve gathered for the site!
I’d like to thank everyone who’s helped me over the last year.
So, that’s about all I wanted to say. nothing particularly grand or exciting.
Hope you have a happy new year!

In this update, I’d like to ask for your opinion on the site a bit later into the post, but I’d like to open on what’s been done, what’s being planned and the site itself.
I’d first like to promote both the FNaFLore Discord and Forums! We’ve tried to revamp both of them, but could not fully sort them out before December. Still, we’ve made a lot of changes, and would love to have some new theorists dive in and share their thoughts, so we can all discuss the lore and get just a bit closer to a final, correct timeline!
It would seem that FNaFLore’s somehow made it to December, without having been DDoS’d, hacked or overloaded bandwidth-wise. The year has been amazing, and FNaFLore’s first 1 year anniversary is now fast approaching! So, I’d like to briefly talk about how the site has gained it’s popularity, the highs, lows and where I hope to take the site. I’ve spoilerised it, so please, feel free to skip it if you’d not like to read through it.
The site started small, just getting things in order. The teasers, the phone transcripts and so on. The site itself didn’t begin to grow until April, which marked the start of proper activity for the site.
The April Fools page helped jump-start the site quite well, and I look forward to next year. Now Sister Location has come and gone, I can finally correct that page, and show what is, truly, inside the box.
I announced Fangames on my birthday in May, and that led to a lot of excitement from the community. I did notice a fair bit of fan art created, which was very nice! here is some of that fan art, linking to the threads they came from. You can find full resolutions by following those links!
It was a very fun time, and I’ve never felt so humbled to the community for their interest in the site!
From there, the site kept chugging along until the whole The Dolls drama. Funnily enough on that, Game Theory made a video a while back on the legality of fan games, which touched on the exact worry I was conveying.
As frustrating as it was to see the disappointing result of Scott’s impression of the site being significantly damaged, the drama undeniably increased the site’s popularity. There were mistakes made then, which I cop to. Weaponising Jim Sterling’s opinions was not in good faith (I did not even consider I was doing that at the time), though I do not regret asking for his opinion. I’d do so for any other company, from Digital Homicide, to VALVe. My sole worries lay with the repercussions to the larger games industry, not specifically to Scott.
June was a fantastic month, and was the start of the ONaF fangame section. The launch went really well, after the initial breakdown of my site. It was practically DDoS’d for the first half hour of the timer counting down! I would like to again thank Jonochrome for all his help, as well as his commissions of the missing Mummy-Beaver and Champ and Chump characters, as well as both Darth_Twitchy and FLHorn, who together saved the day with the rest of the illustrations!
But, there was a more turbulent side of June. June marked the Basetown revolt, which ultimately led to Basetown passing the lead moderator position to Invaderzz. This started with a push from the community over why, for the most part, Basetown was totally absent from the MemeMachine incident, which led to the Reddit going down. This however was compiled with many different facets of bad blood in the community.
In the end, the community kicked up a big fuss, which went largely ignored by the mod team. It felt like Basetown was lying low, as per the last time this occurred when it was spearheaded by ToyChica, I’ve been led to believe. He announced a poll over what should happen, and went very quiet when it came back with people wanting Invaderzz to take the charge. Of course, FNaFLore threw it’s weight behind the community, and through everyone, we got that change. I do want to stress though, this was never really about Basetown existing in the mod team at all. That was never a goal. The sole goal was to change the setup of mods. I can’t speak to him as a person, though others certainly did. I’ve no beef with him, and I would like to think the relationship is thawing, even if we basically never talked to each other.
Still, that went over, and the subreddit is now much more improved. With the new moderators too, I have great hope in the future of the mod team. I’m sure they’ll survive. For now. IT HURTS IT HURTS IT HURTS IT HURTS
July led to the Candy’s page release, which also went over well. Sadly, most of the section could not be completed in time. Some parts are still unfinished, which I plan to get to as soon as I can. Still, I’d like to thank Emil for his help during the fangames event, which included supplying the outline for the door design, the renders of the Tragedy Puppet and Shadow Candy as well as the fandoor background itself (minus the cats fused onto their bodies. that was me).
Still, July was both a high, and a low. what came next was Popgoes. A very good game, who’s lore was largely told within 48 hours. It was one hell of a turnabout, and led to a lot of confusion and frustration. Due to conflicting information regarding Popgoes potentially reverting to a much worse lore that I couldn’t feature, I had to make a choice. Lose a fair month’s work I’d set up to make the page look nice, while disappointing fans, or going against the new proposed lore. I floated the idea, and what a shitshow that became. People on both sides were shouting their objections and agreements. The actual vote was split 50/50, sometimes wavering to Popgoes, sometimes wavering away. Right now, it seems to still be running. It’s actually at 56%-44% in favour of ignoring the percieved plot.
It was not a fun time at all. I’ve since gone back on all I’ve said since, after the truth came out. This information was very outdated, misremembered and while not discussed much, was wrong in large part. At the time, the hype of the community was deafening, and I sadly jumped onto a bandwagon. I’ve since issued a full apology to Popgoes, and we’ve made up by and large, though things have been noticeably more distant than before the event. Which, is to be expected. The current site will adhere to the lore in the game, now it’s clear that the lore has not changed since release.
Still, it was a good lesson. When I jumped onto adding Popgoes, the lore was in shambles. I had blindly jumped on board with a lore that made no sense whatsoever, and due to that, I’ve been very careful in accepting any fan content on the site since. FNaFLore is about the lore, and if the lore is not of a good quality, I won’t feature it. Even nicely presented or otherwise games, such as TNaR, TRTF and FNaFuckboys, I simply can’t feature due to their respective lore problems of being a total joke, being sidelined for gameplay and being so convoluted that it makes less sense than the Fredbear bite being in 1987.
Which, if we skip by the final results of the Flumpty Q&A being released quickly, leads to Sister Location in October which proved me right 100%. It was 1983 and everyone called me crazy for thinking it. The vindication is real. So real.
Still, the game was not without it’s flaws, which I laid bare in my review. I still feel very bitter to Night 4, and the overall lack of consistency in gameplay, but let’s hope Custom Night will help with that issue!
Which leads us to today, with absolutely no events being teased or planned. November was meant to be the big social push, but there’s so much more to do, I’ll need to make that a more prolonged event. Still, November’s come and gone, and now, I look to the future of the site, and where that future will take FNaFLore!
I’d like to end in this section by thanking everyone who’s helped me with this site. Emil, Jonochrome and Popgoes are the ones that immediately spring to mind, but Darth_Twitchy, FLHorn, GunkyStuff and Everything_Animations have been invaluable to ensuring all these fan sections can go ahead.
I’d also like to shout out to Momerator, JuniorGenius, TheWholiganofGallifrey, Retroity and Kenan who have all helped to make the Discord and Forums a better place for all our guests.
I’d also like to thank the Reddit mods Invaderzz, Squidnow, TheFrodo, Springweb, Basetown, f-n-a-f-g-y-f-r and Momerator for their continued support for this site, as well as their renewed and continued support for the entire community. Without them, the community would be a lot less active!
Special thanks goes to LAK, Phisnom, JustinIDBG and the Ratchat. It’s been a bit of a wild ride, and while not all of them have made it easy, they’ve certainly made it more fun.
Finally, without wanting to seem clichéd, there’s also Scott to thank for his games. He may think I’m some ass with a vendetta who has a “pass” of having a mental disability, but frankly, I own all my actions as my own, disability aside. I feel I regret disclosing my Aspergers, as it may have coloured his view on me. Also, I’m actually a very large fan – particularly of his storytelling style. Subtle storytelling is such an overlooked detail, and I’m happy he’s brought it back to the limelight for other games. It’s all about that finer detail. A simple blood splatter could tell you everything or nothing, depending on if the person designed a direction, consistency, freshness or arrangement.
I may call out things that could harm the community, give very critical overviews of his games and try to push changes that I feel he needs to take, but I do so out of full respect for him, and not wanting his games to grow stale. He does amazing charity work, has a decent sense of humour and is far too generous to his fanbase. Refunding FNaFWorld was beyond what was necessary, and I’m proud to have not refunded that game. That was an unmatched action on Steam, and while I don’t feel it should have been taken, to have done so shows a true commitment to the community over potential profits, which I fully respect.
There is still so much to do, and such a small window to do it in! So, I’ll go ahead and announce the next FNaFLore project!
The Popgoes update is going ahead. There is no solid day that I’ll be unlocking the Popgoes section, but it’s the next big thing to sort out! I have all but 1 render sorted, and have most of the audio transcribed at this point. This section will have a large developer section too, due to the sheer amount of content I could find for Popgoes.
I’d like to make a final appeal here. I’ve tried to find 2 teasers for Popgoes. One was animated, which showed a single arcade machine flickering between screens, and the other was a set of bloodied paychecks. Please, if you have them, get in touch so I can complete the collection for everyone!
There will also be a second push for the community side of FNaFLore. I’ve been working on a game for the site, and it’s about 1/8 complete. It should be loads of fun for all involved!
Finally, I want input on the community pushes for FNaFLore. if you could spare just a minute or two to fill it out, that would be immensely helpful!
Until next time, thanks again for all of your support. It means so much to me, and I hope you all have a great winter, coming up to Christmas!

Thought I’d give a small post-halloween update, before I get dug into the November to-do list proper.
So, on the note of Halloween, I hope you all had a good one! I had a blast. scared some little kids, heard some familiar voices, got complimented a lot, got my picture taken and as a first, managed to scare a dog. That was the best. he came up to sniff at me, and all it took was one haggard deep breath, and he walked away whimpering. It was hard to contain the laughter!
I’ll attach an image of my costume. It’s as close as you’ll get to seeing my ugly mug. It’s not FNaF-related, though. I was a classic – the Grim Reaper. I’ll also say, you won’t believe how hard it is to find a good quality scythe. takes ages!
Now, on the topic of the to-do list, we’ve finally got a public to-do list! To see what’s coming up, please visit this page!
As you can see, there is a special purple area of the list, which is the special update of that month. I’ll be including all things I can in that list, while keeping what private things I need to, private.
It’s my hope to fully launch the forums etc. in November, perhaps with an event to draw people in, so we can have some sensible conversations that last, unlike the subreddit!
Still, I hope you’ve enjoyed the frankly lackluster effort I put into Halloween. I need to find a way to make this site more responsive for holidays. I handle April Fools easy enough, but I can’t edit the entire site very efficiently. I’ll need to take a month for pure backend refining at some point!
I’d also like to thank F-N-A-F-G-Y-F-R, for the drawing of The FNaFLore Fleshmonger. It looked amazing, and I’m glad he helped me for this one-time goof. This singular gag, of which has definitely ended on Halloween and is not going to be important at all in the next 3 months, was a lot of fun to set up and I’m happy it went over so well with people. I hope you’ll join me in thanking F-N-A-F-G-Y-F-R for making this joke – of which will not play any significant role in the site – for the FNaFLore.com website, where it will now hold no further relevance to any upcoming events or reappearances.
Here’s to the wait for Christmas!
